I was going to get my first ink and was nervous because I'm scared of needles, so I pulled up, drank like 3 shot bottles and went in. The chick that was going to do it smelled alcohol on my breath and said hell no.

1, no drunk customers
2, I would bleed more and alcohol messes with healing.

Bam is currently 'on tour' in the UK doing an interview set kind of thing with well known celebrity sycophant Matt Stocks.

Apparently the first show went well, but being that it's like a 20 date run I'm looking forward to the inevitable disaster when he gets hammered and doesn't show up or ends up getting his head kicked in in Manchester for winding up the wrong nutter.

I read that original comment like they were asking if it was unethical for the ARTIST to be drunk or high lol.

Half of my tattoos I've gotten I paid for in actual tattoo places with a handful of pain pills or somas. And the artist would always take them way before they started working on me so both of us would be fucked up by the time needle hit skin.

I meant the person receiving the tattoo had to be sober...I'm not going to lie, I wrongfully assumed most people would not get tattooed by someone under the influence.

Although now I'm wildly curious about what your tattoos look like....

I got one of my tattoos drunk. I was a half a bottle of rum down when got it done. Was super quiet during it, as we already had everything planned and I just had to sit. Guy was just blowing through tissues wiping the blood off. I probably bleed 10x more than my usual tattoo jobs. Artist didn't know but told me afterwards he thought I was toasted. Since it was all planned, we had discussed it before, and it was like my 10th tattoo from him, he went with it.

Most artists won't touch you if think your drunk or high. Shit comes back hard onto them if ink someone permemantely with something they cry about afterwards.

I fancy myself a drink here and there, I'm not big on Irish whiskey and Guiness I'd do be because lol tourist. They are beautiful places with super history now I don't have an issue but if somehow you said go here and stay sober I don't think I'd have a hard time.

That being said no one cares about my faggot blog, so I suspect as Bam is clearly not clean he doesn't need an excuse to get bombed but if he tries one it'll be "oh I had to do the culture man" like kissing the blarney stone or for him, spend some time in a men's room at a truck stop.

They look pretty good to be honest, no different than other peoples. Then again most of the artists I knew when I was younger had serious drug problems so and was just another day in the office for them.

Yeah. My friend is a tattoo artist and said alcohol affects the blood and people tend to bleed out more when tattooing. Also, refusing drunk or high people lesses the chance of idiots trying to give you shit for "I didn't consent with this tattoo!!!"
