Careercow Brandon "Bam" Margera - From Jackass to Lolcow

Why would anybody watch a scum show like Viva La Bam? Why did you watch it?
The popularity stemmed from a lack of TV for the skater and scene crowd at the time. Jackass wasn't pumping out episodes and there was a void in that market and this was the closest thing to it, although staged and scripted, it had some good moments with very likeable characters which appealed to those crowds.

Don Vito, other wasted or shit actors and jackass cast members, even the parents getting fucked with were not terrible

Viva La Bam and Wildboys were whatever. At least things happened in the episodes. Bam's Unholy Union on the other hand was just straight terrible.
I tried once watching Bam's World Destruction Tour special MTV put out after they canceled Viva La Bam. Couldn't get past 10 minutes. It was just Bam and Dunn annoying the locals in Europe.

CKY was juvenile, but at least it was entertaining and funny. World Tour was just a desperate attempt at recapturing that CKY magic but with an MTV flare (which made it gay).

The only acceptable death for Bam is to be killed by his son during the filming of a prank video, while Phil looks down from Heaven.

I person watched it because I was 13. Actually I don't remember my age at the time. I watched it mostly from DVD box sets, not from it airing. It was approximately 13 though. When you're a kid that shit is funny.

Back then it is also worth remembering we all still lived in fear because the world was still fucked up because of 9/11. It was on the TV, in kids shows, radio, news, all the adults around you talking about it. It was an era of fear that we seem to pretend never happened now, an era when freedom died to fear. An era when authority seemed to tighten the chains.

Viva La Bam was a ray of fucking sunshine and a good escape from it all, not only that but it felt like it was rebelling against it all. Bam was fucking with his parents, individuals who represent authority, like it's no big deal. Flaunting the rules whenever he felt like it. He did whatever he wanted without consequences. You kinda wanted to live through him as a kid.

I don't think something so trashy and stupid could thrive today though, as now we got the internet and places like to farms to provide that stuff. Watching it now, it's nostalgic, but nothing more than a group of idiots being idiots beyond that. It clearly was made to appeal to dumb rebellious kids with no sense of consequences who were mad they had to give into authority figures.

LMAO

Things got a lot trashier and dumber since, especially if you include “urban” programming. Also CKY and Jackass started before 9/11 so this whole “living in fear” thing is extremely gay.

Because I was young and stupid and easily impressed and thought Bam was cute sk8ter boy. It was a different time and I don’t think it would be successful now with the advent of YouTube, where you can find no shortage of people doing stupid risky shit.

Because I was a dumb teenager, jackass had ended recently and I wanted to see more dumb stunts. Bam occasionally being on the receiving end of shennanigans and occasionally eating shit strung me along.

Lol @:gold: straight trolling for two pages and bam-i-maniacs answering seriously.

Imagine saying this to explain why you like Viva La Bam. It might be they gayest thing I've read on this site:

It really doesn't matter why people watched VLB or Jackass or any other stupid show. Some stupid people do stupid things and humans like to watch stupid people doing stupid things because it is human nature. Look at this site, or any other social media site. Humans thrive on seeing retardation unfolding in real time. It just is the way it is. Is it right? Is it wrong? At the end of day this doesn't even matter.

I personally watched some Jackass stunts and laughed at few acts, but VLB and other similar shows weren't really my cup of tea, so I never watched them. I'm not usually entertained by try hards, but to each their own.

Neither of these shows were as bad as his game show on TBS that didn’t last one season. TBS had ordered 6 episodes and they only aired 3.
And here’s something I hadn’t seen posted here yet, bodycam footage of Bam talking to cops after his episode at an airport:

TBS airing a show of a retard laughing isn't a surprise since they depend on reruns of Seth MacFarlen shows to stay on air

holy fuck that's brutal. how do you go from the most popular faggot to a literal nobody?

I know Don Vito is a pedo but his skits with Bam were always the highlights of Viva La Bam for me.
I watched a Steve O video where he said bam was a bullemic and Tony Hawk had to try and nip that shit in the bud
What ever happened to Steve O? I feel like he was on a show recently with like...grey hair or something?

Steve O has his own YouTube channel and shit, the dude runs a podcast as well and used to do a comedy show.
Funny, considering he got more fucked up then Bam and still got his shit together (Video that's not watchable here is him on various drugs).
Or as Steve O himself put it: "You know you have a problem when the spirits in your high have an intervention for you."
Edited my post to add more info, and to detail out the post a bit.

That's actually not the first time I've heard that from a heavy drug user. Your family can tell you you have a problem, your friends can tell you you have a problem, but when drugs tell you you have a problem it's time to sort your shit out.
