Zero surprise. I’m actually shocked it took this long, guess it took awhile to find a baby’s daddy worth trapping. At least there’s very little chance this one will be a potato, anacephaly isn’t genetic like microcephaly occasionally is.
Poor kid. Going to suck to have a grifter mom but if he has to grow up next to a brainless zombie brother that will suck.

I’m going to assume Jaxon is mostly like a coma patient in a vegetative state now. Looks like he’s got a feeding tube installed.
When he was small and under 20 lbs he could be puppeted around and his staring off into space and little movement was somewhat age appropriate. (Newborns are floppy and have no muscle, so Jaxon staring off into space in a bouncer didn’t seem that weird)
But once he grew to the size of a toddler, who are little dynamos of activity, it was disconcerting. A toddler not moving and staring off into space is not age appropriate. A toddler with no forehead listlessly lying on a bed doesn’t fit into the miracle narrative they were hard selling after his birth.
I know Dad has still been gritting on the pro-life circuit, but she seems to have calmed down on that front. It’s easy for Dad to make money talking about the miracle he sees a few days every year. I can’t imagine Britnay, who has cared for Jaxon now for two years, could be as believable enthusiastic about his quality of life.

He always had a feeding tube, since birth. In one of their old videos of him you can see him tethered to a feed. I think he lacks even the basic "root" reflex that babies are normally born with to allow them to drink milk instinctively..even the Hartley girls both had the rooting reflex.
I'm wondering if what we can see in that black and white photo is an oxygen cannula? At home oxygen would surely signal the End of Days for Jaxon?
Also, the mother. ..damnnnn that's a Fivehead if I've ever seen one.

Is that a nasal canula on Jaxon's face? If so, I get the feeling that he may not be long for this world.

It reminds me more of the nasal only bipap/cpap devices, so a step above just oxygen if that is true. Hard to tell with how saturated the image is but the sides of it and the nasal portion seem bulkier then a simply oxygen cannula.

According to Wikipedia, microhydranencephaly isn't normal anencephaly (where the cerebrum fails to develop), but hydranencephaly (where the cerebrum does develop, but something causes it to die off in the womb).
Although Jaxon's skull is so small it raises the question of whether any sort of cerebrum could develop in there.
