I've recently been playing around with Bread and have discovered the cheat code. Water, yeast, salt and all purpose flour.

Mix them together in whatever ratio you want until it's no longer sticky. Bake at 375 for 30 minutes and you have bread. Prep time? 5 minutes. Unless you count the 2 to 3 hours you let the dough to set.

I feel like this should be harder then it is. I did make baguettes a year ago and that was a chore but bog standard bread? Simple as shit.

As an aside, I activate the yeast with Mollases instead of sugar. Amazing flavor results.

I hate most kitchen gadgets but those bread making machines are useful.

Just wait until you realize you don't even need yeast from the store, you can just take it out from the air. that will really bake your noggin

Keep your bread homonculus far away from me!

Well, I appreciate the thread. I tried the easy Jim Lahey bread recently and it was pretty good but this sounds even easier.

I somehow messed up the NYT "No-Knead Bread" (it just didn't rise on the countertop properly after the overnight portion--I got the right yeast with the right amount). Now I'm trying to get frozen bread (Rhodes White Bread) to do something similar. What I really want is to make Subway-sandwich type bread (but better)...the supermarket stuff always fails me because it's never in the size I want and not that good, and the local sandwich shops are either too gross or too expensive.

Thinkin bout making banana bread again. White chocolate chip and almonds with coconut flakes on top maybe. (I dont know why I have any of this shit on hand)

Wait till you discover the mod of having two breads with ham between.
this mod is for faggots and homeless people, if you eat this you might as well kill yourself
