Not sure if this is the correct thread, but it's probably close enough.
A couple of day ago that JoseBird guy or whoever made a video about a poetry book Jordan Peterson made and then seemingly tried to suppress when he realized how cringe it was (in a similar vain to the 'PC sticker' campaign six years back), because lawd knows he's not above dabbling in lolcowdom.
So the concept along with the poems are obviously terrible and imo cross the line on exploiting the abuse of children with a sickeningly twee tone, with the illustrations being even worse and ad the video is right to call them out on this, but this response video made me really upset in some of the ways these breadtude-adjacents felt was the REAL problem with this book.
This is one of the most hubristic examples of Peterson Derangement Syndrome I've ever encountered, so just be warned that 'there's a lot to unpack here'.

For some fucking reason, Jose invites ZoeBee LolaSebastian and CassEris to 'analyze' the poems:
Did you catch that? In both of these examples involving 'esse' their first knee jerk response is to conclude that it i being invoked by JP to attack Gays and People of Gender as a form of 'g*****r libel'.
Look, I understand that that there's a tendency to make fun of this response, but if this is how gen z actually thinks then shit's more fucked than I already thought I knew. They literally have presented to them a depiction of child sex abuse, and their first impulse is 'hur dur homophobic'. So basically, the zeitgeist has wrongwarped from 'it's wrong to assume gay men are pedos' to 'ANY MENTION OF THE HARD P IS A SECRET HOMOPHOBIC AND TRANSPHOBIC DOGWISTLE'. The sexual abuse of children is far more prevalent than these smug privileged fucks could ever have a hope of understanding, so yeah, I guess projecting the right political orthodoxy would be higher up on their list of priorities.
These are the beliefs of those who want to educate your children
They also take a poem that in my mind deals with some flavor of abuse and try to insinuate it secretly has an anti-vaxx undertones, while in the same sentence acknowledging it was written in 2017
