I don't know if this is the right place for this but I can't think of a better place to put this.
The guy's main point of contention as to why socialism is better than capitalism is the presupposition that people are innately selfish and the history of people bartering for goods and services eventually emerging into a trade with currency is a myth. Then where did money come from? Why did people invent money in the first place? Did aliens come from outer space and teach people what coins are?
He tries to make the point that capitalism "is the economic system where one person owns all the means of production" as if that were unique to capitalism & the central planning of communist nations like the USSR isn't exactly what he describes capitalism to be, if not much more so.
He then makes the assertion that capitalism can't be a facet of human nature simply because it's only been around for 500 years. Ancient Rome & Carthage never existed, I guess. Or maybe Second Thought is a Young Earth Creationist channel. Then let's not even mention that socialism is a much younger economic theory compared to even this alleged 500 year old nerfed capitalism he proposes, so by that standard socialism has less basis in reality than capitalism does, because its comparative youth is only a testament to its falsehood.
I think what offends me most about these leftist Youtube channels is nobody ever challenges any of the logical leaps & gaps these people have to make to even begin making socialism, Marxism or communism sound persuasive or palatable. Everything here is so easily refutable by simply asking rhetorical questions or pointing out major absurdities, like the notion nobody has ever traded or bartered prior to the year 1,500 A.D.
He then attempts to make a false dichotomy argument that humans are geniuses at capital, finance and pricing at stores but imbeciles at anything else (socialism), but what he doesn't understand about free market capitalism is that people are not "setting prices" on goods and services, they're competing against each other, these prices are set over a power struggle of efficiency and cost verses profit.
He then goes on to whine about how capitalists strawman socialism to be one giant hippy commune where everyone is nice to each other (in this video where he strawman argues that capitalism is malicious greediness) and explains that it's collective ownership, where everyone involved in a company decides by democracy how that company is ran.
Reminder that there's literally nothing stopping these types from just doing exactly what they describe, there's nothing stopping these people from starting their own company and just running it as a socialist enterprise, so why don't they? Is it because they know that a company ran entirely by democratic vote would fall apart in short order, and every decision would be predicated on excluding a 49% minority of the company? If that's not true, why don't they put their money where their mouths are.
Also the idea that such a company would yield no profits & still work lol, so basically a stagnant company that never grows and is eventually squashed by one that does. If something breaks, they can't replace it because there's no extra money lmao. Good luck with that. I wonder if this socialist grifter ever turns on ads for their videos?
Oh look, they have a Patreon, what hypocrites:

Hey what gives? I thought profit was bad and wrong, what's wrong, socialist? Did you realize at the back of your head that a zero-profit enterprise is unsustainable? You wouldn't happen to be a grifter feeding lies to a horde of dullard sheep, would you? Of course you are, because the only socialists are champagne socialists.
This Youtuber even has a Buy Me Coffee and CashApp link. What a hypocrite.
