You could make an argument that Lovecraft was asexual, since according to his wife, he was completely uninterested in sex and she had to initiate everything, but asexual is a retarded label for having a low sex drive.

You joke, but his actual political leanings were close to socialism. (Then there's At the Mountains of Madness where the humans end up emphatizing with the Elder Things whose society was apparently socialist (and propped up by slave labor and destroyed by slave uprising to confuse early 21st century progressives)).

IPOS actually brings that up as proof that Lovecraft is queer. He decides that Sonia Greene was probably lying about having ever had sex with Lovecraft with no evidence yet again (shocking, I know). Frankly, I'm not even sure why he needs to assume that Mrs Lovecraft was lying about having had sex during their marriage, he just wanted to pretend that he was presenting an original thought I guess.

Another thing that causes him to conclude that Lovecraft is queer is the fact that there's nothing sexual in his stories. I guess that these lefty types think that asexuality is a queer orientation so I guess that would be evidence, but plenty of authors can write stories without sex in them. Even if he was spending every waking moment thinking of big ol' titties, Lovecraft doesn't seem like the kind of guy who would want to broadcast that to his friends so it's hardly surprising that he didn't write about things he found erotic in any of his stories.

Part of the horror in The Thing on the Doorstep is that the narrator's best friend got married not to a woman, but to an old wizard possessing his daughter's body (and wanting to steal his body because he didn't want a woman's inferior brain). There's at least a little sexual subtext to that.

It's one of Lovecraft's more relatable and human stories. It's a story of your best friend meeting a girl and marrying and suddenly he's someone else and his marriage has changed him that pretty much anyone can relate to, but since it's a horror story, the change is literal. A really underrated story, I think.

Wendigoon does something I wish more creators would do and that’s keep their personal life secret, hell he might be right wing, might not be. It’s that uncertainty that drives leftiest mad about him, so Instead of trying to cancel him they try to cancel people associated to him, but that often ends up blowing in their faces.

Interesting note, in the video Zane says that wendigoon using the Wendigo as a mascot for his channel is “cultural appropriation“. I find it funny that luxury leftists, will whine and complain about cultural appropriation, but when a piece of media says changes the race of characters from Norse/greek mythology, suddenly they start trying to excuse it or justify it. In other words certain cultures and myths must be protected and never change, but others are fine to.
