If anything, if you managed to get rid of capitalism yet you still have a system that will provide for everyone, (ie. technology) they'll turn into lazy faggots like the people in Plazir-15 from The Mandalorian or the humans from Wall-E, where machines take care of their every need and they won't spend a single day working.

I really, really hope that starts happening by EOY. Thinking back there have been many swings between moderate-hard right wing and left wing opinion over the last century alone, so there should be a balanced period someday, sooner or later I just hope. And no, people did not "realize they were wrong" and changed their worldview, they just doubled down on it

You have to understand that people may follow certain ideologies because they do have something to gain out of it, dammed be the conseguences said ideologies will have to the future
