Benjamin Tucker once said that the surefire way to turn an anarchist into an authoritarian (or "conservative" in his exact words) is to give him power.
Whatever leftists, or even left-liberals, want to abolish, they will never, ever give up when it falls into their hands. Private property, ownership of a business, ownership of firearms, institutional power, government power, etc.
It's hypocrisy, sure. But on the other hand, it's them realizing, deep down, that those things cannot truly be abolished, period, and it's suicidally stupid to give it up because their enemies sure as hell won't.
As hypocritical as it is, one must realize that you cannot argue for, or fight for, your ideals from a position of weakness, and even they realize it at some level. The ones that do are incredibly cucked, and we make fun of them for actually following through with their soy-inspired ideals.
