I think he thought his audience was breaadtube when it was people that liked horror movies.

You could make a graph and see true increase to how much of the video is about the woke shit.

There's nothing wrong with discussion of a thing being longer than said thing assuming said thing is dense enough to provide discussion.
 
I know this guy because I watched one of his videos about Zdzislaw Beksinski which I thought was very interesting and pretty good. Although I thought it was kind of weird how he explained how Beksinski hated meaning, explicitly stated none of his paintings had meaning, and disliked how critics would try to interpret the "deeper meaning'' behind his paintings. Then immediately afterwards tried to interpret the deeper meaning behind his paintings, saying they were metaphors for the holocaust because of the blue paint he used.

Then I watched a video about batman comics and thought it was kind of gay how much importance he seemed to prescribe to them, and explaining how there's homoerotic themes and homosexual tension between batman and the joker.

And he made a video about horror book covers of all things, being the reason for the genres downfall or something. Which is weird because ALL book covers are fucking garbage. It's not like album covers where its an iconic piece of art associated with the album. Every book cover is 40% the authors name in giant block letters and if there is an image, even for classic novels, it's random stock art that never has anything to do with the book.

This video doesn't even have that many views or dislikes, and some pretty mild (by internet standards) criticism in the comments. I don't know why he seems to think it single handedly tanked and career and financially ruined him forever. I don't think a mediocre video with some piss poor commentary can do that. Most of his subscribers didn't even watch it. Why don't you just delete the fucking video if it was so bad? Seems like massive cope and sneed for his career declining naturally.

My interpretation of why he hates wendigoon so much is that wendigoon comes across as normal person and standard American style libertarian christian. Nothing makes online leftist freaks and weirdos foam at the mouth and enter kill mode like the mere existence of that type of person. But they can't find a good bullshit excuse to shame normies into not liking him. Even the tried and true "he's racist" bit that works on basicaslly everyone isn't doing very well here. The best they can do is say hes ruining whatever he's talking about by exposing it to a larger audience.

It's a stretch, sure, but Hollywood loves this kind of symbolism. They also have a habit of testing the waters by using movies, and the fan reactions to it, to gauge public reception to ideas or planned events. See: Contagion (2011)

I figured it was some snide attempt at humor, but man is he stupid for doing it. I didn't see a single person who was reacting to his video who didn't take wearing the shirt at face value, and that's definitely not on them. This guy intellectuals himself into living inside his own ass. Even if he actually had the humor, or at least straight up explained his shitty attempt at the humor for his little joke, that's still a major backfire on his own points. Participating in a nazi dogwhistle is, after all, sitting at the table with one Nazi at it. He totally missed this because Breadtubers live, breathe, eat, and drink hypocrisy, and they really don't ever actually pursue each other for doing so until it's time to make a hit piece within the community.
 
This might be an unpopular opinion but I think In Praise of Shadows made a bait video where he said the most egregious shit possible to piss off the right people into making videos on him. This whole thing is putting him in the spotlight to literally everyone and leftists do not care if you're wrong as long as you toe the line and hate who they hate so he definitely will get more leftist fans who follow him long-term from this while all of the people shitting on him won't stick around to a-log for very long. Sorry but there's no fucking way this dude could say so many just objectively incorrect things and exaggeratory statements without knowing exactly what he was doing.

It's actually kind of a smart move to be completely honest and Wendigoon seems to be the only person who responded appropriately by just going "I'm sorry you were harrassed" but otherwise not give him any attention or reason to make another video because it's what he wants. That last community post is really rich, I especially love the part where he says the video doesn't represent him. To quote him directly "When people show you who they are, believe them." I think Zane here showed us who he really is and we should believe him.
