I must say I'm surprised he got this much backlash, even as popular as Wendigoon is. I say this because WDS (Wendigoon Derangement Syndrome) is very real and widespread. I have encountered it several times "in the wild" so to speak.

Someone will reference Wendigoon in a neutral or positive way and there's at least one person sperging in the comments about him being problematic because he, uh, uh, he uh, he uh is a (mostly) white Christ*an and therefore he probably doesn't have the exact same political and social beliefs I do and that's BAD and also he owns a gun and those are SCAWY.

I generally like Wendi. Don't watch everything he puts out but I have enjoyed most of them and like to use the longer ones (and game streams) for white noise. I am very cautious about getting "attached" because we can't have nice things and every decent YouTuber always turns to shit. But right now I think his only crime is being a bit naïve but that's also kind of a Christian stereotype for a reason.
