Fredda, a BreadTuber who primarily focuses on historical “analysis,” has released another video on Pax Tube, wherein he criticizes his position on the Spanish Inquisition. There are, of course, some claims of bigotry, bias, and other leftist sins. Here is the summary in the video description:

Pax Tube made a video on the Spanish Inquisition using dubious sources while contradicting the one good academic work of history he decided to mention but for some reason omit from his bibliography.

Pax has always had some level of approval for the crusades and more militaristic/traditionalist Christian movements. However, Fredda’s criticisms of bias and proper citation are rather ironic, as he has demonstrated bias for socialist principles and improperly cited his sources on several occasions. As such, his only valid criticism is bigotry, which has already lost its meaning in modern academic discourse. He also glazes sandniggers and Islam, which served as the crux of his last video on Pax. (This has nothing to do with academics. I just don’t like people who endlessly defend jihadist Arabs, whose religion venerates a pedophile warlord and a god that supports rape and murder)

Regardless of what you think of Pax Tube (I have only briefly watched one of his videos), we can agree that Fredda is a massive retard. His only contributions to “online historical discourse” are his countless responses to TIKHistory, Pax Tube, and Whatifalthist, which are his most viewed videos. Like most BreadTubers, he only cares about engagement and profitable content.

As an amateur (and soon-to-be professional) historian, I believe that Fredda is a stain on YouTube’s history community. He is the antithesis of everything that a fair, analytical, and professional historian should be. If you are unwilling to neutrally engage in historical discourse without devolving into emotions, you are not a historian - you are simply the mouthpiece of propaganda.

Fredda, may you be blessed by Allah the merciful and his prophet, Muhammad (piss be upon him). Having earned your heavenly virgins, you should blow yourself up and finally receive some pussy, which I assume you have never seen in your entire life.

I do agree with Fredda on some of his takes, especially on PaxTube since PaxTube is a groyper, a bit of an annoying one at that. Hes one of the better researched breadtubers, even if his research has a lot of logical holes sometimes. Ive yet to watch his "The Nazis were Capitalist" video, its the only one I havent watched but most of his other videos have logical problems which the average person cannot find, something which he is able to pass off as legit because he has citations. I think hes autistic (his favourite game is dwarf fortress), hes like 22 years old and probably still a social sciences student so hes obsessed with citations, even if theyre not necessarily objectively correct and have been accepted cause of the Cathedral. Hes just a sourcetuber, not necessarily analyzes arguments or texts but just presents a combination of citations and sources to form a narrative, no analysis or alt perspectives. Tbf expecting alt perspectives from breadtubers is a big ask, they can only think one way.

I rated "Disagree" - yet it is a respectful disagree. As far as I am aware, I don't think Pax is a groyper. He's a Catholic with interests towards the wellbeing of Whites, and sometimes both get in conflict with one another. But I've never seen him comment about Spicky Faguentes.

As for Fredda, well, hopefully he can learn more - but labelling things "Alt-Right" doesn't help much his case. Hopefully he can read more and become impartial - which I have seen him use plenty of sources.

Considering that I had to study the history of Christianity, I would argue that Pax is far closer to the truth than Fredda.

The inquisition did exist and they did do some awful things. Was that the only thing they did? No. More often than not, they would just knock on your door, courteously introduce themselves and have a chat about your publication and why you wrote what you wrote. If they could talk you out of writing something that went against Catholic dogma at the time - which was nowhere near as extensive as the Soviet and Nazi hyperfixation on anti-Communist/anti-Aryan sentiment - they would advise you to rewrite that passage or leave it out and the rest could be published. If you refused, they would burn the manuscript and probably fine you. If you reoffended, they would gradually step up the punishment from flogging to death since you were an unrepentant heretic that simply couldn't be saved from damnation, according to their viewpoint.

Now, some countries did have their excesses (like Spain), but you do have to put yourself in the shoes of an inquisitor to understand why they did what they did: they were 100% sure that if you didn't follow the word of the Pope - who was Vicarius filii Dei or Representative of the Son of God, even though the phrase came from a forgery - and you undermined Catholic dogma, you were not only sentencing yourself to eternal damnation, you are an agent of the Devil himself since you're undermining public trust in the supreme spirtiual leader and causing more people to sin and be damned.
I hate the comparison, but it's the exact same line of thinking that NAFOids and Breadtubers have regarding Russian and alt-right talking points.

My biggest gripe with Fredda is that he's a smug cunt that can't let go of present day politics and ethics. Pax does play into the LARP a bit too much, but he's at the very least trying to understand what people at the time thought.

He's positive of keith woods on some level, who is a nick supporter. I do have some bias against white nationalists and the alt right but even if you're one of them, unless there is a total condemnation of Fuentes and the groypers I really don't take the person seriously. Leatherapronguy/alex is so far the only person who I've seen within the alt right who is willing to say Fuentes and the groypers are idiots, even if it's an implication. Pax is also very autistic and into vtubers and anime girls which for a catholic groyper adjacent individual is extremely dumb. Arguably I don't like pax, I think he's too dumb to defend his positions in any meaningful way and makes way too many mistakes with the way he portrays things, as evidenced by fredda. If you're a catholic reactionary (against vatican ii in this context) white nationalist there are much better arguments you can make and ways you can portray things, again refer to leatherapronclub.

Edit: a good example of this is in his israel video, he said he doesn't like muslims but wouldn't kill or bomb them in the way israel does. I found this funny considering he supports the inquisition and would probably support muslim killing if the Jews didn't do it. Say the Vatican City started bombing muslims tomorrow, pax would 100% support that so this bullshit empathy for muslims is a fake argument.

You can't expect any breadtuber to not say alt right. Fredda is still a breadtuber, he's still using statistics to support arguments, not the other way around which is what you usually do. His sources are heavily cherrypicked and he believes a lot of cathedral propaganda which doesn't make him sceptical of the sources which are accredited and the accreditation system. It's still better than say thoughtslime making easily debunkable arguments on a whim or philosophytube calling people transphobic for using inconvenient statistics.

This is one of the incorrect logical arguments fredda makes, he applies philosophical relativism to history which is wrong. He has stated it explicitly when he said history is a study of the past using the morality/philosophy of the present ie reframing the past in terms of the present. This is wrong cause morality is a flexible malleable thing no matter how people perceive it in a given time period. Pax on the other hand tries to downplay the inquisitions crimes and tries to advance on the "catholicism based" position by omitting a lot of information. Both are wrong.

The ironic thing about leftists in YT today trying to impose their modern-day morality on people from the past, (ie. the era of the Spanish Inquisition) is that, decades ago, the Left believed in things that would be considered offensive by Leftists today.
