Their entire argument is moronic once you realize that billionaires don't have billions of dollars to tax, but are billionaires based off of owning large parts of companies that they founded or invested in. Many of them do still have incomes in the millions of dollars through salaries or dividends, but that puts them in the top tax bracket that pays the majority (the top 5% of earners pay over 60% of all income tax) of personal income tax in the US. The only way for them to have billions of dollars to tax is for them to sell their assets and them dumping all of their stock at once would reduce the price.
Comparing this to a country like Sweden (which is often praised by these types of idiots) shows this further. Someone earning $100,000 in New York would pay about $30,000 in personal income taxes, leaving them with $70,000 afterwards. Meanwhile the same person living in Sweden and earning the same $100,000 pays $44,000 in taxes if they live in a similarly expensive municipality as New York City. A person in the US could also live in a state that doesn't charge state income tax, in which case they'd only pay $22,000 in taxes having $78,000 leftover. The more meager amount a person is left over is further diminished by the 25% VAT that is placed on most goods and services.
They're entire line of thinking is flawed because they start from the premise that for someone to have a billion dollars it can only be because it was taken from someone else. Even though they themselves engage in mutually beneficial exchanges with other parties in capitalist economies all of the time, they do no apply this thinking to themselves. Not even being dumped into Venezuela would fix these people as they lack the critical thinking skills needed to put the pieces together. Instead they invent more and more fanciful explanations so that they can ignore what's obvious to everyone else.
