The Youtube Skeptics was basically a group of anti-sjw youtubers around 2011-2015 that was led by people like Sargon and the community that built around the Amazing Atheist and Thunderfoot. It faded away with the Rise of Trump and Brexit and the popularity of the Alt-Right. The Alt-right labelled the Skeptics "Alt-lite" to help distinguish themselves. The Skeptics are distinct though from the Youtube Atheist community around Matt Dillahunty, Aron Ra, Godless Engineer and Darkmatter2525. Sargon did a debate with Darkmatter about whether Christian theocracy was more a serious threat than leftism. The only overlap between the Skeptics and the Youtube Atheists is atheism/agnostic and some agreement over center-left politics. (Not accounting for the Skeptics that became Hard Right and/or abandoned Atheism/Agnosticism ect.)

The youtube adpocalypse, the Alt-right/Dissident Right and disagreements over how to view Trump and Brexit basically killed the Skeptic community along with some of the people involved abandoning secularism. People still try to use the Anti-SJW/Gamergate label but it's like the Ghost Dance that the Distributist has talked about. The Amazing Atheist split from the Skeptics because he couldn't agree with it becoming a pro-Trump movement and he thought his anti-SJW content had actually been harmful to culture.

I watch a lot of the Distributists videos and streams (that video is very good) I just don't know what you could even call skeptics on YouTube now. It's clearly an entirely different community .

Edit: bringing back the traditionalist Codex would be kino as fuck. It's Dave's best work by far, evergreen aside from some mentions of breadtubers.

A lot of them are either far to the left or far to the right of where the Anti-SJW Skeptic community was in it's prime. For example, Sargon and Academic Agent moved more rightwing and The Amazing Atheist and Thunderfoot moved more leftwing. ShoeOnHead might be one of the few people who still has a lot of views and subscribers and probably hasn't changed much ideologically.

AA is really weird, he calls himself a "center leftist" now, what he actually means is he's tired of the Trumpist/Zionist right and has decided he's selling his stuff to the far left now, he's got a series on his channel taking on "right wing ideas" I haven't watched any of them because people seem really Irritated with him.
If he is trying to make the left better than he's going to make a video on Charlie Kirk and how they need to stop rubbing the rights face in his death, otherwise he's just selling his courses and talking about how Populism is poopulism.

The Distributist did a response to AA "become center-left" and Academic Agent didn't seriously address any of The Distributist's points. AA's response was lazy and low IQ, and it was obvious he wasn't completely sure what the Distributist was even saying because AA couldn't be bothered to watch the whole video and respond to all of it.

I don’t think that Thunderfoot’s politics have changed, though he might have even more disdain for Republicans and leftists now that they destroyed the skeptic movement from both side like a Soviet/Nazi invasion

In fairness to AA what Dave said was in a 2 or 3 hour stream and was only a small segment of it. I never watched AA's answer to it so I don't know what he said.

Dave said Academic Agent's positions haven't really changed in a meaningful way to say he's center-left and is basically playing a bad guy gimmick like Heel Hulk Hogan. Academic Agent basically said that's not true and AA said transgenderism is irrelevant. AA seemed to really hammer the point there is one guy on the center-left that is not a gay race communist that AA likes saying basically if So so is center-left then I am.

The response was really frustrating because part of it was AA skipping around a lot and appearing confused, like AA really only half-cared about giving his take on the topic.
 
I have once again been blessed by the holy algorithm with a sub 5k views per video tranny talking about bullshit I DGAF about.
What makes this one stand out is that my dude has never used one word when he can use seven.

‘Qualitatively and substantively engage with’ for ‘view’

He also argues that using AI is the same as renting a slave because because Indians have been known to train language models.
