And he is not in favor of it.

Starting the second line and paragraph of a letter to brag about yourself followed by walls of text is always good practice when writing a persuasive letter.
I'm starting to notice a trend with these individuals, they all seem to be narcissistic cunts that confuse moderate YouTube popularity with actual academic weight.

Any idea on the context of what Harris is talking about?

? It’s in the same screenshot as Harris’ tweet. It’s a reply to the tweet Kathleen Stock made about how she had decided to block Olly after finding out he had been talking shit about her but was still going to use some of his material for a course of hers because it worked as a basic intro.

Good lord he's up his own ass for a person that I would assume only has a bachelors?

Lol he describes himself as 'working in philosophy' and acts like this has any weight with the Royal Institute of Philosophy based on having... a youtube channel. Why would they even listen to him?

Reminds me of Nyk/Contra calling himself 'ex-philosopher' despite dropping out of graduate school.

To be fair, the OG philosophers were bums who loitered around Athens' marketplace. But to be fair to those bums hanging out in the market, most "Video Essays" are at best middlebrow infotaimnet pieces. I don't see great intellectual output on Youtube. "Video Essayist" are going to remembered as a phenomenon, not an unique intellectual force. I doubt PhilosophyTube or Contra Points are going to analyzed in serious college courses in 100 years, except maybe as dated cultural pieces that reflected the culture and society at the time.

the OG philosophers were all rich kids who had nothing better to do with their time other than think about shit.

Vaush is playing the remastered version of Spyro on stream. Has already exclaimed how much he wants to fuck/get fucked by the dragons you save and that centaur cock is superior to dragon dong. Pretty on brand for Ian, tbh.

I found another one of these guys that's just strange. Reading Radical is a is a stuttering anarco communist troon that represents himself as an ugly 3D bird woman straight out of a bad PS1 game. He honestly gives me really strong FNAF fag vibes, plus he clearly took a bunch of "inspiration" from that "Don't hug me I'm scared." series.

Vaporwave, Troon, nonbinary, vaguely furry cartoon avatar, slow speech with an impediment, why are these reoccurring themes in breadtube?

His understanding of gender.

Kids in cages; How did we get here?

Rad rules for radicals.

Liberals are fascists in disguise.

The state of breadtube.

wouldn't be true and honest a breadtuber if Vaush doesn't pop up in a video at least once.

My personal favorite, The communist manifesto.

Everything you know about economics is wrong.

Discussing aesthetic in agonizing detail.

Heres his fake twitter (He doesn't have an actual one.);https://mastodon.social/@radian2pi

I haven't looked too deep into this, but from what I've seen so far it's pretty exceptional. And like I mentioned earlier strange.

Hmm. Slightly OT but it strikes me a slightly elitist for Nyk to call himself an ex-philosopher, as if philosophy is something you can only think about at a university, instead of a lifelong intellectual pursuit anyone can look into, whatever their social position or number of bitcoins, etc. Gatekeeper!

As an aside, I've started referring to Olly Thorn as "Oswald Thorn" in reference to another cold-hearted and effete Englishman with intolerant attitudes (and a goofy 'tache).

Something I've noticed while combing through Breadtube/Commie shit is that Vaush might be one of the more sane ones. He's the most explicit about bloody revolution but his ends aren't much different honestly from say Destiny or your usual Soc Dem.

For example, Vaush likes markets, but thats very much so a minority position still in Socialist spaces. Vaush seems to peel back when a planned economy is mentioned but most Socialists still embrace that idea.

Its kind of funny when I hear him proclaim that he's a far fucking leftist but he's not actually that much of a political radical until you get into the political violence aspects. Its like, if you take away the bloody revolution rhetoric you basically get a progressive reformist.
Who is this "scientist" he's talking to? I've been listening for a little bit and this guy has provided nothing to substantiate his claims. He's probably about as educated as Mr. Ian with his big brained sociology degree.
The scientist is almost halfway through his PHD in Materials Science, a bachelors and masters in Mechanical Engineering with a background in Thermodynamics. So basically a physics guy.

No fucking idea. Olly might want to expose himself to the prostatic secretions of Nick Parrott, but that doesn't mean other people ought to.

There's actually a term that defines these people you've described: radical liberals or radlibs. These are typically solid middle class bourgeois progressive/social liberals who fashion an entire identity as radical leftists. They may read and enjoy Anarchist, Communist or Socialist literature, participate in protests, openly call for violent revolution and more, but they very rarely think through their positions or where they would fit in should the revolution they crave achieve its goals. What's worse is radlibs never really challenge the status quo or capitalist economy. Leftists hate these people because radlibs are very superficial and won't be there to do any of the dirty work needed for a violent revolution. In fact, they're just as likely to retreat into their comfortable progressive positions if they can't handle the consequences of rocking the boat too hard.

Anyone who thinks the universal bullshittery of the trans-debate is on par to the extremely rigorous physics of radioactivity is probably the sort of person who thinks that having a youtube channel is public-facing philosophy.

So Mr Monaghan has been been engaged in trying to dig up old Twitter posts by several small politicians in Britain as a means to try and sabotage their political careers, and actively taking a delight in doing so.

For no related reason, I'll post his dox once more. Bear in mind, I believe he or Jen have moved location since.

Shaun (of Shaun and Jen) dox:

Sean Monaghan
26 Turnberry Close
Astley
Manchester
Greater Manchester
M29 7QL

DoB: 6/17/88

Lives with Jennifer Bolton-King.

Proof: Found this video from Manchester Metropolitan University, the University they both attended, of Sean graduating at 23:54 in the video. Quality is low, but it certainly looks like him, and he seems to be the same height as Sean claims to be (6"2). Seems Sean and Jen bought their house in March 2017, and then moved in during the middle of November 2017, according to their social media feeds, although I have heard both intend to move somewhere else once more. Data seems to match official UK records.

His biggest mistake is thinking we need to see "problematic" tweets from any of our politicians to hate them.

Considering modern "philosophers" reside on YouTube I now have a funny image in my head about Diogenes making a rant video over how they took down his previous video where he shows himself masturbate and shit in the marketplace.
