I am genuinely curious at this point. Is there anyone discussed in this thread that seems like they enjoy what they do? I think the thing that really stands out about these people is how unhappy they seem in everything they do. Everything is hyper serious, everything is a life or death struggle. The people around you are just seemingly ready to swarm at the slightest bit of blood in the water.

idk, it just seems utterly miserable, but then again I guess these people do worship a depressed alcoholic.

I think they are absolutely miserable. My casual perusal of this thread makes me think that these YouTubers are "champagne socialists" or "bourgeoisie Bohemians." Namely they believe:

1. "Humans run on logic" which is a manifestly miserable way of going through life.
2. That they are revolutionaries for speaking out on social media. That one day they will remembered as heroes of the movement because they used their platform to advance the cause.
3. They believe that the revolution will be like Star Wars. That when the day comes they will lead the attack on the Death Star. (In reality they would be assigned to logistics on some back water planet.)

Anyway, now that "The Resistance" has been fighting for four years and hasn't accomplished anything, the terrifying reality is starting to set in. They aren't having an effect. They are screaming into the void. Their policies would have made everything worse in the current situation. They hit a wall of diminishing returns where they can scream louder on YouTube but lose followers.

When it would probably pan out like a 40k rebellion: they start saber rattling and then five minutes later, they're being used as target practice by the local Space Marine chapter. I was just thinking about how Breadtube was probably selling Bernie as the man to save America and then switched to Democrats once Bernie dropped out.

They are in a "meet the new boss, same as the old boss" situation.

The people they would greet as savior's will treat them just as bad as the previous regime.
