Not to mention that those same gender roles spawned in extremely patriarchal societies and were a thing, to begin with, to fill a necessary role. Most of these "genders" were expected to work as guardians, healers, and borderline monks at the service of their families, they weren't fooling around on Twitter talking about how sexy they were.

The life of these third genders these morons so vehemently claim as their own is something most of the time people didn't choose for themselves being the best example the Balkan sworn virgins, women that had to assume male roles and benefits in exchange for any kind of relationship because their brothers had been killed. Most of the time third gender came as a necessity first rather than an outlet for people to really express themselves. Today these genders are celebrated as precursors of modern gender understanding but with more than a couple it comes as a typical modern western stretch of what it really means.

The government encouraged a clear distinction between men and women. On the other hand, in the West it's now regressive to think that there are only two sexes. For me this is proof enough that this whole gender thing is on purpose politicized and has no inherent left or right wing position (in comparison to thinks like law and order, which in my opinion are much more inherent to the right wing than the left wing). Climate change wasn't as politicized 30 years ago as it is now. Some people even thought that environmentalism was a right-wing bourgeois value in the 60's. I wouldn't be surprised if the left-wing would change their positions completely if the right suddenly embraced Climate change alarmism.

Breadtube has always reacted to any sort of infighting within the left with the useless suggestion of “unity”, mainly because they have nothing better to offer. For them to suggest otherwise they would have to actually argue for/against a side, instead of lazily fence sitting on debates like terfs or truscum/transmedicalism. In this case, the breadtard isn’t arguing for the validity of trans activism within gay rights. It’s no wonder the anarcho-catgirls of Twitter hate lefttube.

This is irrelevant for Breadtube but the point Candace Owens is making is shared by the majority of center-to-leftists over 35. It’s easy to see the troon worship in media and corporate twitter and make assumptions about most people’s views. In reality, most level-headed adults not caught up in identity politics make some sort of distinction between homosexuals and trans-things. Gays have had nearly half a century of community activism behind them, troons have about five years of media appraisal.

Or does Gutian believe gender is a useless distinction, a big nothing, and therefore being trans is an active choice?

Because companies can ban anyone for making choices, but breadtube will have your head for saying there's something more to being trans than "because I said so".
