I don't see a lot about this man on this site, to which im surprised, considering the subject matter. Barczyk is a "Pet Tuber", who talks about his reptiles and daily life at his own reptile zoo, "The Reptarium". Barczyk is infamous for hoarding animals, mass/inbreeding reptiles (so they look "pretty" to sell them for lots of $$$), denying ill animals veterinary care, improper husbandry, insufficient enclosure sizes, harassing individuals who question his care (also dismissing any sort of critique as "hate speech"), and rumors of sexual misconduct. There is a LOT online about him, but knowing this community I think we can dig even deeper.
other things he's done
- gotten his close friends to make youtube videos defending him and harassing any of his "haters"
- refuses to listen to anyone's helpful critique because "he's an expert", and dismisses any sort of help as hate speech
- he always puts on this overly happy/positive personality when filming
- does not quarantine sick reptiles
- has his small indoor zoo open by appointment (despite the pandemic), instagram video shows many people there not wearing masks
- his wife has admitted to him killing several geckos because he impulse bought them and didn't care for them
- his wife looks lowkey annoyed with him in a lot of his videos
- does animal "pranks" that involve putting the animal at risk of danger (throwing a large snake into a large chlorinated pool with logan paul), dropping snakes on people to scare them, etc)
- purposely pesters snakes so they bite him to use as clickbait for views, laughing at staff when a snake is chocking them
- uses dead animals as clickbait
- VERY clickbaity titles and thumbnail images
