Ah, Never Dead. I bought it for the quirkiness factor on a whim. Technically you don't die from losing the quicktime, but just get digested forever 'n whatnot.

I wonder what this year holds for Wu. Btw, is she doing any current cons? I was thinking about how disrespectful it would be of Wu to keep using the tweets of a non-existent mentally ill man who had committed suicide.

What I love/hate about Wu and others like him, is that they just say shit like, "I have data that proves this shit I'm saying." Though they never release their data, they don't tell you how large the sample was etc, because then they would have to fabricate more lies that everyone could easily call them out on.

I mean, how many people have actually played Revolution 60? And how can you tell who is a "Neogamer" and who is an old gamer or whatever? How does any of this shit make sense to anyone?

Well, an old gamer is, according to Wu, " men who want to attack as fast as possible and subsequently hammer the iPad so hard that they’ll break the screen". Seriously, he said that when making Rev 60

Since this is an auspicious occasion--the beginning of another 1000 pages of Flynt/Wu insanity--I thought I'd share this:

A lot to catch up on.

Wu claiming that people love QTEs seems to be defending her game rather than promoting it. It's like saying 'I did a poll which shows that I am totally a real game developer'. Also, she takes great offense at people questioning her programming skills but all she tweets about are things like adding lens flare and drawing on her iPad.

She looks down her nose at people using GameMaker and Blender but while she's doodling on a tablet and letting her dog go mad, Undertale is actually being enjoyed by people and has actual gameplay.

Scientific Data? For something is actually a game review? Who would to be interested what other people think of Rev 60 scientifically anyway? The only reason to start a study about the effects of Rev 60, is to check if the improved disco-version has a higher chance of triggering epilepsy.

Having scientific data is the killer argument people like Wu like to use, when they don't want anybody to question their shit. People don't want to read 'scientific data' they just want to know the TL;DR. If you claim to have such data, most people tend to look the other way, because they really got better things to do, then arguing with Leatherface about the meaning of scientific data, that has something to do with QTEs. Of course, if someone asks for that data, it is either 'too sensitive to release to the public' or 'you get some quote from some study some guy at some university made' and have to sift through the entire thing. And by the time you are done, Wu probably already blocked and reported you to Twitter for disagreeing with her.

On top of that, Undertale only raised about $50k (excessively more than the original kickstarter goal to the point all stretch goals were met IIRC), only an eighth of the budget sunk into R60, and only a year of development by Toby Fox virtually all by himself vs. the four year hell period that shat out R60 in which Wu did fuck all.

To another 1000 pages of Wu's incomparable insanity!

Has Wu reacted yet to anything about the lack of degree? I'm so excited for it..

Also, Laurelai Bailey: how the fuck has THAT train wreck not have his own thread yet?

I haven't paid any attention to Wu before. New thread is a fresh start for me. But now I've decided to go back and read all 1000 pages of the last one. I can't belive I ignored this one for so long.
I'll have to do that too, but it will be daunting. Even this thread I had to already do some catching up on.

Nintendo Nightmare was made in the old version of Gamemaker and it's objectively a better game than Revolution 60.

It was made by one 14-year-old kid.

Who's Wu anyway?

And why is Gamergate still a thing, and why was it ever a thing? I wish this stupid Modern World would stop adding "Gate" to things to make it a Scandal. The Nixon Administration Scandal didn't work like that.

Gamergate is just useless news and Brianna Wu is just another useless person who thinks they'll make a difference because they are a minority like a tranny.

Because ethics in gaming journalism is serious business. If ethics in gaming journalism deteriorate, that will lead to a deterioration of ethics in all journalism and that will end up in weakening democracy and freedom of speech.

No, really.

It's just a GAME, John. Nobody is taking control of your profile.
I also don't get why they're all so upset about this.

"Oh no, someone can make a virtual trading card out of my twitter profile and trade me for other profiles! The horror!"

If anything, most public and semi-public people that bother using twitter a lot would probably get a chuckle out of it. I mean if a fan of yours trades an Obama for you that's actually rather flattering right?

Wu's just mad because nobody would ever want a "card' of her to trade away because it's worthless.

And if you're really that bothered just opt-out of it without making a spectacle. In their bio is a link to get it over with quickly!

"I love QTEs."

A sentence said by nobody, ever.
