I actually need to do a write-up on FF13 at some point. I can actually see what Square-enix was trying to do when this entire overglorified mistake happened. It had a couple of interesting ideas with equally interesting origin points, and if you understand where those were, FFXIII goes from being simply shit to a fascinating case-study in shitting the bed so hard you rupture the floorboards (and also both hilarious, and more than a little sad). Individually, almost any aspect of FFXIII in a vacuum has good ideas and is salvagable; put together and it's the incoherent mess that the internet has mocked rightly for years.

While Brianna's interpretation of "two weeks" leaves much up to speculation, we're going to need at least half a dozen more "two weeks" to see anything resembling a release as there's still been no updates according to SteamDB, no changes on the iTunes App Store, no updates to the KickStarter page, and nothing resembling marketing from any of the Giant Spacekat Twatter or whatever accounts.

Two hours into 13 is where I walked away from Square, I can remember the moment clearly. I was so excited, got up early to get to the store, way ready to get back into FF, I loved XII, and then-- Nothing. Two hours in and I'm still doing tutorials.

I don't think I'm even going to try XV unless it gets some amazing buzz.

Almost definitely not. Brianna has likely only played Skyrim on PS3, and it was likely less than an hour in playtime almost five years ago. I highly doubt she'd be paying any attention to its PC modding scene.
