1. lol

2. IT'S THE PATRIARCHAL LAW'S FAULT FOR NOT BRINGING THIS TO JUSTICE ;_;

3. And a new sperg has entered the GoT whining!

4. I don't think writing an article for The Mary Sue is standing up to you, Wu. Looks like this is considered standing up for yourself lol

5. Our new audience is really looking forward to white cis females fighting in a video game like Revolution 60

6.

7. GODDAMN LOOK AT HER BOOBS IT'S MISOGY- Oh never mind it's made by a feminist so... that's perfectly fine!

8. >Brianna Wu >Stellar games
LOLOLOLOLOLOL
I'm not going to say that Wu's a fucking failure, but a cursory look of Revolution 60's Apple Store page reveals that it's currently being sold as Freeware. As of this post, of the under 159,000 downloads Revolution 60 has had, roughly 75% of these have been since she made the game free to download. Almost 160,000 people is a lot, right?

Let's go ahead and put some context to those numbers.

1. The Android version of Air Control has been downloaded roughly 100,000 more times than Revolution 60, at about 240K downloads.

2. Depression Quest, which came to Steam as freeware, has been downloaded 183,000 times.

3. Hotline: Miami has been downloaded over 1.65 million times. Its sequel has been downloaded over a quarter million.

4. Gone Home has been downloaded over half a million times.

5. Dear Esther has been downloaded over 750,000.

6. The Path has been downloaded about 100K.

7. The various incarnations of Farming Simulator have averaged 100-400K, totalling well over 1.25 million downloads for the set.

8. The Shantae games have been downloaded about 80,000 times on Steam, and over a million - each - on the 3DS Store. Data's been hard to corraborate since Nintendo rarely shares figures of sales data, but by all accounts, this means that despite being a retail-price indie game with limited exposure, Shantae has sold over 3 million games across her 3 titles on various platforms.

9. Warframe has been downloaded over 7 million times.

10. Angry Birds has been downloaded over 4 million copies. This is just the freeware version of the original. You don't even want to know how many of the others have been DLed. Let's just leave it that if you added up every item on this list, you'd have to multiply them by about 7 or 8 to get within striking distance of how many copies of the Angry Birds franchise has been downloaded.

To surmise, on a digital platform with non-stop cheerleading for her game and even reducing the game's price to the always-desirable price of free, Wu has yet to get above 150K downloads - a bar which even shit like Depression Quest did better than. Indeed, almost every game from the professional victim's unit has out-sold Revolution 60, even when being sold at retail price. Even games to have come from other Anti-friendly outlets like Analogue: A Hate Story have out-sold Revolution 60. Cave Story has been downloaded roughly 10 times the amount Revolution 60 has across various platforms, and that, again, is retail.

And, again - most of those DLs are after it went Freeware.

I won't say Revolution 60 is a failure - because the statistics already imply it.

Did you guys somehow miss this re: brianna?

Call me jaded but i have a hard time buying this.

Edit: Let me expand on this:

First, the letter to the prosecutor is fucking retarded. Any reasonable person knows that's not how you interact with the establishment. Generally a mail or letter worded like that to the government would be lucky to get an answer. Not saying that won't happen, see below.

Second, Brianna is only mentioned in the end of a sentence in the end of the original mail. Given the same importance is "slam dunk", "#gamergate is a hategroup" and "do something".

Third, the return mails first sentence says it's re:Brianna Wu. But it shouldn't be, it should be re:Hello, ¤gamer gate question.

Fourth, the only reason for the mail saying re:Brianna is that the prosecutor has had a ton of inquiries about her, is familiar with gamersgate and also has a copypasta response ready. If so we should see tons of these response mails popping up all around.

Knowing GG they would make a big deal out of this. Not saying i'm right, i'm actually pro-GG, just saying i'm holding my judgement.

She copped to it and said that it was her employee who contacted the "wrong agency."

And yes, apparently a few people received that same copy and pasted e-mail.

Also, many people incorrectly (myself included) use the term re: to simply mean "in regards to," it's not necessarily an implication that you're responding to an e-mail with that exact subject.

Oh dear, seems like i'm as late as Wu's period...

Too bad Scotty is smaller than previously advertised. Truly a disappoint for me.

Anywho, I still don't get why people drink the Wu-aid. A lot of these people just seem like they're from Bizarro World or something.

Because listen and believe? Really, if Wu did show the threats she gotten which were from her or some game journo that is a Something Awful goon, people would take them at face value. Hell, Wu would show the ParkourDude91 video that mentioned her and people would believe it despite what we really found out about Jace (even then, said video was ridiculous when considering things like "wolf soul").
