I was thinking more about the statistics that showed such a great success. They have a similarity to current transition statistics where they don't count teens that fell out of the study or follow up on why they dropped out. So troonery studies can start with 100 participants, when it ends they have 37 participants left and 26 of those say that hormones really helped their mental state in some way. Then they choose to reflect this as hormones having a 70% success rate but in reality almost 70% of the participants stopped taking them and went on with their lives. Medical troonery studies have been criticized for doing this.An even better example would be the Icepick Lobotomy. Once hailed as a "miracle cure" and something every mentally ill person needed. Now its remembered as a horror story.
