That being said, I would like it very much if John sued someone for calling him trans.
Remember when The Boston Globe did a profile on John when he was a congressional PRIMARY candidate? It bugs me that he gets away with being called a congressional candidate when he didn't get past the primary, which is an extra level of failure, so I make sure to bring it up.
Anyway, the profile started with John pretending to get back from one of his daily runs, back when that was one of his LARPs, and lying that he thought he was getting catcalled by some builders but they were actually yelling that they were voting for 'her'. Which is the perfect Wu lie for so many reasons, which is why I bring it up also, even though it isn't the point, except that the article printed that claim unquestioningly.
The point is, it said Wu as trans, and one of his simps pointed that out to him, and he clearly made a call and it was corrected to 'Wu identifies as a woman'. That was a puff piece that let John hoist himself on his own petard but couldn't go counter to the narrative, though. He'll use back-channels if he can but otherwise just ignores/blocks people, because like all troons he relies on a shared delusion of politeness, leeched off the gays, in pretending these men are women and that telling the truth about them is the worst crime you can do.
I’d love it if he and Rhys McKinnon met. Very similar personalities. Both demand to be viewed as women, yet both also have this need to be seen as dominant in masculine fields. I suspect their egos would cause them to hate each other.
Possibly the only thing I've ever appreciated from John is that he actually went Male to Female. Rhys, like AGP troons in general, went Male to Trans. Wu is still a pathetic facsimile of a woman who could not be more of a 'boys with their toys' if he tried, and he talks about troon rights from the perspective of a troon, not the alleged bisexual ally he claims to be. But he's far more committed to the LARP than Rhys is, willing to front as
a woman in tech dealing with the issues women in tech face, though he's neither of those things.
Rhys, though, wants to be treated as The Main Troon in Sports, and begrudges every time another troon gets picked to talk about the topic even though he's pretending to do it for all troons. For him, it's all about asserting his dominance and power under the guise of trans rights. It may seem a small distinction considering Wu is also a self-aggrandising narcissist, but to me Wu wants to be a big fish in a big pond, but Rhys wants to be the biggest fish in the tiny troon pond.
Not that any of those points are necessary for the two to hate each other, because of course they would - and it's not just about ego, or the way their delusions manifest, or even the fact that people in real life can't stand either of them and so they only have friends online. They're both just deeply unpleasant narcissists. Tell John that Rhys is coming for his Princess Peach speedrunning bullshit, or Rhys that John has been booked to talk about sports in any capacity, and they'll tear each other to pieces under the veneer of, 'they do important work, but...'
