I think it's funny that he keeps using the PT Barnum line when PT Barnum was totally fucking successful, gave away millions in philanthropy and has his name on a bunch of shit for the stuff he did. He even succeeded in politics unlike John.

That's actually another point, PT Barnum's shit was more like a magician's "lies" than actual fraud. Barnum used his fame to expose mediums as frauds who preyed on people! No wonder John hates him.

I guess humanity is no longer in an existential crisis due to climate change. John must have realized his desire for multiple fuel-inefficient cars and the need for a huge family-sized house to contain all his pinball games is incompatible with the goals of saving the environment. Then again, he has always maintained that any effort requiring an actual sacrifice is someone else's responsibility, and as an individual there is nothing he can do except leave the same carbon footprint as two families of 4.

This entirely sidesteps the issue of an apartment fire being capable of killing hundreds inside of 10 or so minutes because of the density. On top of the ridiculous notion that the apartments save space - as you would need to have a gigantic pile of support structures near it (the power generator would have to support that many people, all of those people would need jobs, all of those people would need food, all of these people would need recreation) and the apartments likely house less people per space.
