This is absolutely true. And it's not just the game dev part, it's all the other typical male interests he boasts about because they make her seem like a better/cooler woman than an actual female. Even when he brags about something like cooking beyond shilling for prepackaged home delivery, it's in the context of having the best knives. He has zero feminine interests. If he has to acknowledge that he is not a real woman, suddenly he's just a man in a dress and the fact that he collects sports cars and pinballs is no longer novel.

He's suggesting that people don't want to start paying for things that they used to have for free, that this is what the media has found out, and that the media's example should have warned elon.

it ignore the other market made up of people who never had the 'special' blue checkmark and can now get one by paying for it.

And the fact that someone who refuses to pay for something they didn't pay for before isn't actually taking any money away from a company.

It’s the most obvious bluff, akin to a child threatening to run away from home, then standing by the door in the hope that their parent will rush to stop them. There are many alternatives to Twitter and in any case, it’s not like you need Twitter to live. Musk doesn’t care if people say they’re going to quit. People have to actually do it. And everyone knows they won’t.

Musk could give Twitter the tagline “The Openly Transphobic Social Media Platform” and all the troons would do is tweet about “this hellsite.”

This is a meaningless detail and I'm not defending him, but seeing educated and open-minded lib types get cognitive dissonance because his name is "Wu" has always amused me.

You'd think they of all people would understand that in America, names often mean nothing (many women named Caitlin have no Irish ancestry), and since he's "female" to the public, any rational person could assume Wu" is a married, adopted or stepparent name, but no. That's also despite Google not hiding his marriage to Chink-American Frank Wu. It's always if he's pulling a Rachel Dolezal except with Chinky Oriental culture (though he is a Dolezal of womanface).
