Brianna Wu / John Walker Flynt - "Biggest Victim of Gamergate," Failed Game Developer, Failed Congressional Candidate

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
She actually uploaded a trailer!

Could it really be happening at long last?

Interestingly, it's titled "Compilation Error" - which means exactly what it sounds like:

Compilation error
refers to a state when a compiler fails to compile a piece of computer program source code, either due to errors in the code, or, more unusually, due to errors in the compiler itself. A compilation error message often helps programmers debugging the source code for possible errors.

Someone on Kickstarter is asking for a definite refund because absolutely NOTHING has been said about the backing rewards.

Here's what was promised to people: wu_backing_rewards.png

The most that was given were 6 times $250 to "Become an evil corporation in the Rev 60 universe! Your name and fictional company logo will appear in the game on a crate in the Rev 60 shipping bay + you will receive the CHESSBOARD OPERATIVE PACK."
This... looks a lot like that unreleased trailer she posted months ago. Only significant difference is the "multiple window" effect she used 3 or four times in the trailer.
For comparison:

The new one is actually longer and different.

Wu is screwed regardless if that damn game makeover edition is released or not. In the event it does get released, I'll be amazed if it is even playable in any format due to a number of reasons (excessive memory drain, horribly executed quicktime button press sequences, etc.), but even moreso it would leave Wu in the same position as Fish in that they can't make anything to follow up because they didn't really make what allows their games to tick. Short of the impossible happening and Wu selling off GSK like they claimed was the true end game some time ago, Wu will lose more money because once the game comes out, what little patreonbux actually are still invested in her projects and aren't them trying to bait the honeypot will disappear.

And if the game doesn't get released, well, guess we will find out if it's just the cycle repeating again or if the poor scmucks who bought into the bullshit finally draw the line.

This is one of the dumber things John has said but I am sure he actually believes it.

Lies are like seasoning, best used in moderation.

Lying all the time is like being that chef in Alice in Wonderland who makes tarts of nothing but pepper. It's pathological.

Doggo's look cute but this bitch needs to take better care of them. Firstly, what's with the cage?

Fun fact: it's not even a cage. These vastly wealthy sociopaths, who pay something like ten times what food is worth for it to be delivered in little tiny bags so John can force it down a screaming Frank's throat, zip tie together some box crates to make these vile cages to torture their harmless dogs.

I'm surprised Wu doesn't wash her dogs.

I mean, she could pose with a soapy dog to seem more quirky or cute or something.

Then again, she doesn't pose in pictures, so she'd probably just drop the recently washed dog on Frank's face and then make a post about how he's a failure for having a dog on his face.

Hard to say. I'm almost willing to bet that we'll see the Steam page go live within the next couple of days only to be whisked away from the public once "threats" appear and "force" Brianna to indefinitely delay the release. Given the past behavior...it's honestly impossible to predict up until the moment it actually happens.

In other words:

WHERE'S THE DIGITAL WALLPAPER, JOHN?
WHERE'S THE DLC, JOHN?
WHERE'S THE POSTER, JOHN?
WHERE'S THE T-SHIRT, JOHN?
WHERE'S THE IN-GAME SHOUTOUT, JOHN?

Wonder how Wu would react if confronted by a $250 donation and a request for the Kiwi logo? Would she:
a.) Take the money and run, thus further discrediting herself
or
b.) Accept the money (Peggle in-app payments don't buy themselves, after all) and seethe in impotent rage as the website she loathes gets advertising in her own game?

I don't know what would happen.

Most likely Kickstarter allows creators to reject funding for any reason and Wu would just refund it without explanation.

  • Agree
Reactions: Jaimas

This is one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen come out of Wu, and I don't mean the sentiment. It's that godawful drawing. It misunderstands every single thing about cartooning. What to exaggerate, what to minimalize. It would have been vastly better as a stick figure with a circle for a head.

For God's sake, its left eyeball is sitting on top of its right eyeball. REEeeeEEEeeeeEEE.

The only thing Wu ever managed to engineer was a perfect trap for himself (which is only befitting, seeing how step 1 was turning himself into a trap).

Rev60 even ends on a cliffhanger for a second game. With a clear lack of intention to make the sequel, I wonder what Johnny Boy was expecting. The plot of the game is pretty much just the prologue of a story.

I assume this was some harebrained scheme to help sell the IP later on, but without a follow-up game, it's really fucking lackluster, even if you drank enough ammonia as a child to actually enjoy Rev60.
The new one is actually longer and different.
It also spoils the whole goddamned game. Not like there was much to be spoiled in the first place, but it's about the principle of the matter.

7 more days, the suspense is killing me.

7 Days, you say...

And as usual, I don't bother putting more effort into this stuff than BriBri would.
