Brianna Wu / John Walker Flynt - "Biggest Victim of Gamergate," Failed Game Developer, Failed Congressional Candidate

I could see Wu skipping local elections

I tend to agree, local politics (city council, county boards, etc) wouldn't be high profile or "impactful" enough for Flu. She wants widespread name recognition and what she perceives as power. Her grasp of how government functions at any level is tenuous at best, and she'll be sorely disappointed to learn that she wont be able to focus her campaign and subsequent term in office (as if she has a snowball's chance in hell of getting elected) on chasing down the GooberGobbers.

It's the tweets like this that actually make me feel a little bit sorry for Wu.

Wu is never going to run for any type of public office. We know this, and Wu knows this as well. Even the morons that are encouraging her on twitter know this. They're merely being "supportive". Now, here is the future laid out for you:

a) We now have months of "Political Candidate Wu" to look forward to, in which she always takes the "controversial" stance as she sees it
b) If that stance gets too much backlash from her twitter followers, expect a quick backpedal followed by an explanation of how it wasn't her fault
c) This will ultimately be followed by some unsubstantiated twitter sob story about how she is unfairly not being allowed to run because misogyny
d) Then her idiot followers will start dogpiling whatever office Wu claimed caused her not to be able to run
e) Said office will come out and state the real reason Wu was disqualified, most likely that she never filed any paperwork to start the process in the first place. This will not matter to the twitter hordes, however.
f) Wu returns to what appears to be her fallback career, "Journalism" (which is how "professional victim" is spelled now, apparently)

Through all of this:

a) Wu threads pop up regularly on KIA, and are quickly downvoted with all of the comments being "why are you giving Wu attention?", because those spergs are nothing if not predictable
b) Wu gains several thousand more posts here at the farms, spreading into a couple more 1,000+ post threads, because us spergs are nothing if not predictable

and all of this could be easily prevented if Wu had one single real friend. One person who would smack her in the back of the head and say "you're being an idiot again, stop it"

If you thought internet trolls were bad, wait until the mudslingers get a hold of you. It's best if you don't run or drop out early.

On the other hand, I would be morbidly curious to see if suicide baiting would become a political tactic.

Yes let us know how the meeting with the politburo goes, John

I dont know jack all about running for an office, but does 100% woman wu have to present a birth certificate?

declare any erm...changes...name wise?

So According to Wikipedia the US representative is a woman, so if Wu stays true to her word then that's out. Both of the state representatives and the state senator are males, but they're also all Democrats. That means that she'd have to either run third party or run against an incumbent democrat in the primary.

That is, is she runs at all

Wu's fucked. We'd only need to run a few ads to help out incumbants. It'd only cost a few thousand dollars and we have a ton of video editors here that'd do shit for free. I've even thought of a memorable tagline: "Wu can't do".

Like this:
[Clip of Wu saying 'the Internet ruined my life!']

"Brianna Wu can't handle the Internet. How can she fight Donald Trump and the GOP to protect all of Maine's citizens?"

"Fighting Donald Trump: What Wu Can't Do."

Or this:
[Background is a sprawl of Wu's tens of thousands of tweets scrolling in columns in the background.]

[Individually selected tweets with embarrassing shit start appear on top of them so viewers can read.]

"Brianna Wu has spent the last three years tweeting."

[Picture of Donald Trump with his phone.]

"We already have the Tweeter in Chief. Do we need one representing us?"

"Putting down the phone: What Wu Can't Do."

GIVE ME A REASON TO DO IT WU I WANNA DO IT
