Brianna Wu / John Walker Flynt - "Biggest Victim of Gamergate," Failed Game Developer, Failed Congressional Candidate

It's not about what she can do, it's about what Lynch does/did and how those things are bad.

He is following the same tactics of Hillary but for other reasons, without Lynch he doesn't have ANYTHING to offer and now he is killed any way to win, now he is going to be remembered about "that person who was sperging about moon rocks"

Because the Oculus Rift is all but dead thanks to ZenaMax.

Offtopic but is implied that he got a Rift because he hates Valve for not kowtowing to his bitching when the Steam incident happened

You've hit the Mark of the Beast for the the third time

Politics is the art of compromise, and you succeed by finding some way to agree even with your enemies on some topics while utterly disagreeing on others, and Lynch is being a wise politician by having the decency to admit Trump is not a totally unreasonable guy (he's not, he's known as a deal maker for a reason because the business world works in a similar fashion) and that the press coverage against him has been unfair, and as a political opponent, it would be a lie to claim he doesn't get a kick out of that.

Regardless, Lynch is not entirely sanguine on a lot of Trump's policies and plans to remain guarded on their effectiveness, which is certainly fair enough, and even I, who supported Trump, even I think his sledgehammer approach to the immigration issue was badly implemented even if I agree with the overall intent, so while I disagree politically with Lynch, I can concede he makes excellent points regardless.

Wu, on the other hand, is trying to regard this as a version of the Gamergate narrative, where one side is all holy and the other side is evil incarnate, and there is only the people who are right and the people who are wrong, and that sort of attitude is the death knell of getting anything meaningful done long term in politics.

Further, Wu does not give the impression he gives the slightest shit what his potential constituents think. They need bread on the table, not grandiose ideas. They need someone willing to swallow their pride and make deals in their interests instead of someone who refuses to compromise to the detriment of people whose lives depend on the occasional political compromise, and most of all, the public needs a servant, not someone who dreams of being an overlord over their subjects.

In regards to your last paragraph (on mobile and can't edit very well), I think John has never heard a very basic yet very wise point: "Civilization is only 4 square meals away from total anarchy." It's been said multipe ways by smarter people (Maslow's hierarchy, anyone?), but that's the basics. Anyone in politics or government knows this. In our first world, that means a job to get the money to buy the food. Your grandiose idea will only cut it if it gets people more money in some way (more money fron their job or lower prices). John is doomed to lose because he's never had to worry about those square meals, so he assumes no one else does. His lip service to basic income is entirely selfish.

I think John would be befuddled if he found out people go hungry. "Why don't they just subscribe to Blue Apron?" he might say.

So, is Wu trying to fool her Twitter possé or does she genuinely think Lynch means every single difference between Democrats and Trump is "trivial"?

I assume this is low-effort shit flinging.

I'd wager it's the second. Wu never read the article because she never reads the articles, she just saw popular leftist friends screeching about it and decided to jump into the pool without looking. I'm sure by now it's been explained by her monkey Frank but when has Brianna ever let facts get in the way of a good yell?

I keep reading about how people think it's a good idea to discuss the militarization of space because of John here. Do none of these people realize that if we break those treaties it's on? As in, there may not be a tomorrow kind of on?

Evidently, John does not, and neither does the gaggle of tards who orbit him. It's pretty interesting (read: fucking baffling) how these people try to come across as educated sorts when they can't even do a bit of research into arms control, a not inaccessible field of political study.

So has Brianna Wu made any attempts to actually interact with ANYBODY in community that she's running for? The interviews she's had so far either take place at her home, or some studio, they're never at any public events, I don't think she's even spoken to any prospective voters about anything whatsoever.

Despite having only a sixth of the number of Twitter followers as Brianna Wu, you see Steven Lynch's Twitter has photos of him meeting with local community members all the time, like firefighters, policemen, church groups, teachers etc. Now look at all of Brianna's Twitter photos, they're just either photos of her dog or whatever new toy she has bought like video games, electronics, Lego sets, custom car parts, Pokemon plushies or action figures (and this is only looking at her Twitter photos since the beginning of the year) and the only other person in these photos is Frank. I wouldn't be surprised if even most of her neighbors don't know she's running for congress.

If they're not part of her Twitter followers, I think it's safe to assume that the answer is %100 no. And even then, the interaction would probably be completely one sided as she would probably block any constituent that "harassed" her by asking actual questions about her policies and plans.
