Didn't John say a few days ago that he was starting a month long road tour for his "job". Even if there was downtime, in John lie world, he'd still be meeting with a doctor outside of Boston to make a plan with. He also spoiled his next fake arc, breast cancer, since he's already talking about how he needs a plan to catch it early, like it's inevitable he'll get it. And what exactly is this plan going to entail until then? You'd just be more vigilant about screenings. That's not a particularly complex plan that requires going to a hospital. And if he is going to get a screening done that day, he's being overdramatic about it because, while you can get scanned at a hospital, it's not the only option. And doesn't John supposedly have actual siblings now, so if they haven't gotten breast cancer, it's probably fine, or they could just speak to them about things. Why, it's almost like they don't exist.
Then there's the fact that breast cancer in males, while possible, is not nearly as common compared to women. And then the biggest lie is, of course, John wasn't adopted so the whole entire thing is a moot point. Even by John's standards, this is a sloppy lie that clashes with his other sloppy lies
