I was convinced the adoption arc was leading up to this, where he'd discover his "real" parents are in fact Jews, and within a year or two we'd be getting ol' Mississippi John stories mixed with Israeli John stories. But I think that was more him having a genuine mental break as opposed to lying for some sort of grift.

Like I said about James Lindsay, they go where the money is.
