Brianna Wu / John Walker Flynt - "Biggest Victim of Gamergate," Failed Game Developer, Failed Congressional Candidate

Why the fuck would you ever buy a car you can't easily repair and drive it on the regular then? That makes no sense to me.
It's just the latest misadventure in the bright new sitcom that is Brianna's life: "Oh, Wu!"

Poster is essentially this, but with snarling Wu and screaming Frank, obviously.

At this point I'm convinced that if Wu actually does set up a debate with Lynch, she's going to walk out on stage and repeatedly stab herself in the chest while screaming "It's for your own good!!"

It's a status symbol. If I remember correctly, Porsche actually encourages that sort of thing by having cars they won't even sell to you unless you have ownership to a minimum amount of Porsches. Why champion of the common man Brianna Wu needs a status symbol to differentiate themselves from the working class they supposedly represent, on the other hand, is beyond me.

Because Flu is in some kind of middle ground where they try to pretend to be "one of the regulars" but with that six-figure making slave-husband, those old habits of growing up unimaginably wealthy and spending it all on one's desires refuse to die.

So now there's only one showing, down from two, it's no longer on opening weekend but a couple of weeks in to the film's release, it's much closer to Christmas and she's selling tickets for 10 bucks rather than the 25 the early adopter suckers paid.

If I had signed up for this shit, I'd demand my money back.

Porsche doesn't encourage poorfag posturing that way, though. You actually have to be a bona fide richfag to nab their exclusive models. The only ones I know of that require some nepotism/proof of care to purchase are their Turbo S Exclusive (yes, it's named the Exclusive Series) and the GT2 RS, and both of those cars cost nearly $300,000. You might need something like that for their Turbo S series in general, though.

Why is she only charging $10? With events like these you’d want to charge several times the actual price in order to cover your overhead (the cost of renting the theater) plus have some donation money for yourself. All the donations have to be reported but as is, she actually stands to lose money right now.

General admission to see Star Wars is $13.50 at that cinema and Wu's charging $10. That's a fantastic way to raise the big money.

Incidentally, when John is in Congress, it is precisely through these means that he will legislate free college and healthcare for everyone for all eternity.

Only a few people paid the original $25 fee. She’s trying to avoid going out of pocket on the theater rental since her campaign funds are dwindling due to useless trips and toy purchases. She also probably wants to get enough people in the seats in case anyone (Frank the “campaign staffer” of her few fans attending) takes photos.

I think more accurately she's resigned to being out of pocket on the deal and is just trying to flog the remaining seats off at cost to limit the damage. Really the money was spent more for Wu's ego and entertainment than as a fundraiser. I wouldn't be surprised if Frank was the one who finally footed the bill for the cinema rather than using campaign funds.
