If you live in the area, buying a ticket to Wu's Star Wars screening is a great deal. $3.50 off, and a chance to encounter the famous brave feminist who defeated Gamergate and is running for Congress?
But seriously, for the price of her Porsche, she probably could have found a way to pay for the signatures to get on the ballot to begin with. Did Frank veto that idea (yet not the Porsche?) yet not the Porsche? It's too bad that Wu's too stupid to get on the ballot, since candidates like her are always interesting analysis of the political leanings of their district. For instance, when the Democrats ignore a solid Republican district and only the Green Party nominates an opposition candidate or the opposite with Libertarians running in a solid Democrat district, although sometimes communist groups like the Socialist Workers Party--who Lynch's predecessor in District 8 won 91% of the vote in 2006--tend to run in solid Democrat districts.
Basically, having Wu on the ballot in the primaries would give us a good clue on how many crazies are in MA-8, and I would guess the majority of people who voted for the Socialist Workers Party in '06 would vote for Wu if she were on the ballot, but for the majority of them it wouldn't be because they agree with her or want her as their Congress(wo)man, but rather because they believe Lynch isn't left-wing enough. And it's logical they'd want change, since Stephen Lynch has a reputation as the most conservative Democrat Congressman in Massachusetts
