Brianna Wu / John Walker Flynt - "Biggest Victim of Gamergate," Failed Game Developer, Failed Congressional Candidate

Is it common for office jobs in yankland to offer life insurance as a perq? I've never had a job that offered it over here. I always thought it was more a thing for dangerous jobs like oil rig work or deep bore mining.
For salaried employees, it is very common to offer at least a 1x salary policy. Highest I've seen was probably 5x salary for something like $20/month. Some of the better benefit packages I've seen allow you to insure your dependents on the cheap as well.

  • 2k for a stationary bike
  • 100k on a Porsche to replace the other Porsche and the Audi he ruined
  • An office he never goes to
  • A high end VR rig that sits unplayed
  • Every single console
  • Anime figurines
  • Every latest Apple product
  • Subscription meal delivery service
I wonder why they can’t afford a down payment on a house.

At least most of us have at a minimum enough sense to buy the house BEFORE filling it with pop culture crap. John’s anime figure collection always strikes my eye. I’m an adult toy collector. Mainly die cast Japanese robots. Not a lot, but a couple of nice pieces a year. Enough to know the various offerings in other related genres. John’s Anime figures are for the most part high end Bandai SH Figuarts or Goodsmiles Figma lines. The cheap ones start at $50 a pop. Some will hit ~$130. For an action figure collector they are like a Porsche. They have the best, most realistic and smoothest posing. They are incredibly expressive. John paid top dollar for them, pulled them out of a box, plopped them on the included stand. Never even posed them to something beyond “just yanked out of the packaging” and then never ever dusted them again. It’s a pattern you see repeated over and over in Wu’s life. Desire, Acquire, discard or ignore for next. Cars, Pets, Employees, Friends or Aquaintences. Titles instead of actual achievents. It’s like watching the core of Johnny’s mental malfunction played out in Sailor Moon dolls. I’m amazed he hasn’t discovered Hot Toys stuff yet? Or maybe even Frank has limits?

My company takes life insurance policies out on all of its employees, but the payouts go to the company not the spouses. There is also Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance which does have a small payout to the family.

I've only heard of life insurance that pays out to family members for extremely high paying roles or really well off companies.

Remember in the US most Health Insurance is through group policies with your employer. Life insurance is generally a low cost add on to that employer benefits package. Some employers will take out insurance policies on employees that pay to them. But that is generally mission critical employees who’s loss would have a direct impact on business. Mostly senior executives or very specific knowledge employees. The insurance policy is to cover the loss of business and recovery period should the critical employee die. The reasonable view being that it acts as a buffer such that your tragic death should not financially impact your co workers or put them out of work.

Another day, another event Brianna supposedly attended but hasn’t uttered a word about. According to Frank, Brianna was supposed to speak to the student democrats at UMass today.
Hey, it could still happen. Maybe they're holding it at midnight like a "Rocky Horror" screening.
Joke's on them if they think Frank-n-John are going to allow any audience partici

pation.

Oh jeez. Yet another fluff piece on Wu, this time from CNN. Why is it that none of these fuckers can check the FEC reports and notice that she's not running a genuine campaign? A tiny bit of due diligence is all I'm asking.

More horrendous, uneven makeup from Wu. More spastic head nodding and other antics. The usual par for the course. Did you know that another tranny is running for congress in MA this year? It's true. She passes pretty well, even in the non-photoshopped candid shots. Why don't the press cover her instead of the fright mask Wu? She's an out and proud transwoman running for high office, which is still a rarity. Wu is a closeted and indignant about it horror show, running for her own vanity. It seems like a no brainer.

Edit: I was trawling to see if anyone on the internet reported on Wu's alleged appearance at UMass Boston (spoiler: nope) and I found this instead. I think this might be literally the first time I've ever seen a politically engaged grassroots Democrat from Boston mention Wu (I mean, other than recently right here on the farms.)

This dude's impression....

Brianna Wu challenging Steve Lynch in MA-8. To be honest, I don’t know how seriously Wu is taking this race. I don’t hear a lot of coalition-building in the district, a credible campaign coming together, organizational outreach, money and people, etc. Always happy to be proven wrong, but I’m not feeling this one. Lynch, the Health Care Hamlet, is an unreliable progressive vote, most recently having voted for the House budget withoutholding out for DACA. His organization is formidable, but if Pressley jumped into that one …

So, basically the political version of "Literally Who?" Hilarious.

Look man, there is nothing wrong with collecting a few Gundams or Macross Valkyries.

If you total up all the money squandered on Johns wants and hobbies, even excluding the refactoring of his penis, revolution 60, and the new Porsche, you are easily able to cover the down payment on the house they are renting now — if not buy it outright.

Considering we know that Wu watches anime, apparently spends time consuming female/lesbian porn and also plays Hentai games, I wonder if Wu has a second, private collection of the more risqué figurines that Japan manufactures in a back room somewhere. There probably is something wrong with collecting those.

I haven't seen the evidence for a lot of this. Source?

I've only worked office jobs, and every career type job I've been at has offered 2x Salary, no physical life insurance payable to your beneficiary as a perk. You just pay income tax on premium.

Federal tax law allows $50,000 of life insurance as a tax-free benefit, so they always offer a "buy down" option incase $3/mo in extra withholding is too much of a budget hit.

I don't know about literal "hentai games", but I think it was confirmed that John played a bunch of games whose main draw is anime titties.
his steam profile shows him spending a lot of time playing "anime/hentai visual novels". And unlike most of the games on his steam list, he actually plays the visual novels to completion, unlike the AAA major releases he buys and only plays once in order to take a few screenshots and tweet about how he is such a skilled girl gamer with his finger on the pulse of the video game industry.

I bet a person could make a joke about that if he was so inclined.

:late:/:offtopic:/:autism: whatever.

There was talk of "Ghetto Rich" and I've not made a faggy effort post in hours, so here we go

There's a book called "Rich Dad Poor Dad". This book is a gateway to fucking people over by getting people who have no business investing in real estate to invest in real estate, so that the company that used the author as a mouthpiece can profit. However it does have some good advice, which is "An asset is something that makes you money, everything else is a liability"*.
Ghetto Rich (or Nigger Rich) is someone with money who only spends it on liabilities.

They have money and make disposable or high-depreciation purchases instead of buying or doing things with their largess that hold or increase in value, things like stocks, real estate, fine art, etc. And nothing depreciates like new cars and electronics, which are things loved by the Ghetto Rich.

Now this is not saying buying a liability is bad. A trip to Bali is nothing but liability, but if you have the money, who cares, you don't have to live like a fucking monk. There's a wide gulf between being retarded with your money and being Scrooge. The problem is the Ghetto Rich do nothing but spend their money on high-depreciation stuff, but especially stuff they can use to show everyone else in the ghetto they have money. But usually make no effort to actually move out of the ghetto, because that's less money for high-depreciation toys.
In the off chance they do try to buy real estate, they either buy some over large McMansion that costs them more to heat than they paid in rent before the money started rolling in or a condo they don't do proper research on.

There's a lot more blah blah blah here about countering depravation from the pre-ghetto rich days, parents not teaching good spending habits to children (by both not teaching them anything, and bailing out their kids when they get into a tough money so thye never learn the lesson about having money set asside), but this is long enough.

*Specifically related to the book, they caution against treating your primary resident as an asset, since while its probably increasing in value, you can't really exploit that value until you sell it. And you're spending money in taxes and upkeep to hold on to it.
This isn't exactly terrible advice, but remember that its coming from some guy who wants to sell you investment real estate courses & seminars.

The Wu's are a classic case of Ghetto Rich. Which is kind of funny, because the Chinese are pretty well known for engaging in flashy ghetto-rich conspicious-consumption behavior.
Flu's new porsche will not only set them back 100K, but they're going to have insurance, maintenance, etc. The porsche is probably going to average out to a 4-figure monthly drain on their finances, and that's assuming Flu doesn't wreck it. That is money they're burning every month, and will be sorely missed when Frank hits retirement age, provided Flu doesn't just kill him for the insurance money like he's one the dogs.

It's all good, everyone. Wu's got 15 signatures now, thanks to Warren Lynch. According to his tl;dr at least. https://www.facebook.com/pixyled/posts/10160015876290494?pnref=story

LOL. Poor fool thinks he only needs 2000, when there's a mandatory excess signatures goal before there'll even consider your petition. That's before the opposition gets to work on digging up reasons to throw out your signatures. Seems like you probably need about 3000 to be on the safe side.

But hey, if he only collects 15 a day from now until the deadline, he'll still be almost 1000 short of the minimum so who's counting?

Edit:

I haven't seen the evidence for a lot of this. Source?
Wait, what?

Did you miss the day when Wu accidentally liked porn she was watching on twitter? I don't think it's too far back in this thread.

You're right, and in fact he just played a new one in November now that I look
http://store.steampowered.com/app/560250/Galaxy_Girls/
Did someone order melons?

I can see why he'd like that game.

Lesbians, big boobs, sci-fi setting, skintight outfits, sex scenes........what wouldn't he like about it?

The worst part is that the demographic that game is aimed at is generally MEN, and he's got a lot of games like that on his steam account.
