We’ve discussed this in the past. Brianna Wu is a transgender woman who does not consider himself transgender. He believes he’s 100% a natural born cis woman who was just born with a defect ie. he was born with a cock and balls.

Brianna Wu cheekily referred to his gender reassignment surgery as “correcting a birth defect”.

And this is one of the things I agree with Wu on. Too many rat king members identify as “trans” and make shitty attempts to pass and just flirt about girlcock all day on Twitter. People who aren’t just using trans status as a fetish thing or status symbol should identify as their gender. But the problem is:
a. Wu passes like a brick and is obviously an enormous man in a dress. And
b. Tries to act like an authority on women’s perspectives and has a “girls can be gamers too!”/“you can be a badass girl and ride motorcycles” message that breaks down when the person in question is biologically a man anyway.
So ideally when oppressed, born poor, womanly Wu says “I stood with other women against trump by running for office,” people should cheer. But really a rich white male sat on his ass and embezzled funds for lunch and a new luxury car. John existence makes something I agree with seem unreasonable.

That much possibly is the only truth, given Wu has literally lied about every waking moment of their known history otherwise.

If Brianna loses, nothing changes.
If she wins? Oh buddy boy. That level of oversight and scrutiny on her finances? Partisan politics targeting her? Hot takes on if her lifestyle is "appropriate" for an elected official? Having to file expense reports?
Oh hell yeah.
What I'd love is for her to make a Senate run. Can you fucking imagine? The sharks in D.C. getting a crack at her? Her giving speeches on the Senate floor?

I like the WaPo issue but the problem with it is that blaming them is too problematic. It gets more attention on Brianna-As-Trans and, even if it didn't, sorta implies that there's something wrong with being trans. In that sense Wu might as well just admit it outright, but that opens up a lot of doors where people can blow holes in narratives from the past.

Talking about Wu winning is now hopeless. In the very beginning I was worried, because I had been surprised recently, but somehow Brianna took my low expectations and managed to submerge under them.

I think it's gonna be a combination of "we'll be back better next cycle" and a smattering of blame on the media for not doing enough to push her to the victory and some humble bragging about how as a famous engineer she thinks too logically for a campaign.
