I think John's knowledge comes from barely remembered school lessons and someone else's analysis of the Bible. But I also think he's picked up on that thing where it's advantageous with conservative voters to be Christian, even though I would guarantee not only is he faking it, but that he jokes with Frank about having to deal with crazy religious nuts. Even Trump said his favourite book was the Bible, because to a certain portion of the electorate it's a necessity that they vote for someone who 'reflects their values' in that way.

Wu's trying the same thing, not realising that staying silent would be better than trying to bluff his way through vs. experts. It's also fun to watch him try and buzzword people on the Bible - throwing in cybersecurity when the conversation started about abortion is a clear sign of his brain fritzing because bringing that up has shut people up before.

I'm beginning to think that Wu's status as a crazy troon vanity candidate with absolutely nothing to offer anyone is an open secret, but if/when the house of cards comes tumbling down one of the questions will be, 'Well, if everyone knew, why didn't it come out sooner?' Because the number of people keeping quiet about her obvious failures, as a person and a candidate, seems increasingly large.

No, I think Frank's serious about his Christianity, or at least as serious as a perpetually screaming coolie can be about anything. He took to religion after the tragic death of his sister.
John was a Bush Sux Atheist before meeting Frank and converting, presumably for his sake. I think you'll never see John disrespecting Christians or religious people as a whole, so as not to rock the boat.

Yeah, he usually disguises his scorn for Christians as scorn for southerners or for conservatives. John woudn't directly attack anything Frank actually holds dear, lest Sugar Daddy kick him to the curb.

Stephen Lynch doesn't support impeachment, because if there's a sure fire way for Democrats to lose the House, it will be to start proceedings against Trump in the months leading up to 2020. Shitting on Trump and his electorate would absolutely spur them to action, and focusing exclusively on impeachment (which you know would be the entire theme for Dems in the 2020 campaign) would guarantee a good portion of the undecided voters will vote Trump and Republican in 2020, because honestly at this point, the majority of the public doesn't give a shit about Russia, tweets, or Trump being a big meanie to Dems. Everyone is sick of hearing about it now, screech about it for a year leading up to an election, and you'll turn everyone against you.

Seriously. I just don't get this impeach him thing. There's no way in hell the Republican held senate is going to go for it, so it's just a pointless gesture. He's got a few months left and then hopefully Yankland will snap out of their collective brain shutdown and elect someone who isn't a total moron who can't read or learn anything. All Wu is signalling is that she puts style before substance.

Impeachment is a really bad hot take that’s being pushed by the #resist and woke negro crowd. It’s such a bad take because democrats will need a super tight case to go after Trump in order to shame the senate republicans into taking action. Right now the senate isn’t doing shit, the entire government is a mess.

The progressive arm in the house is getting their “yaassss slay queen” clips out but accomplishing nothing. McConnell is act like a dictator in the senate, and trump is being himself.
