While there are rivalries in soccer it have always been a sort of world wide inclusive sport that encourages people to get engaged and play. If it was 5-3 or 6-3, why not be nice and sandbag a little, let the Thais sparr against a superior team and maybe they will take that home with them and know what they need to become better at, making women's soccer as a whole a little bit more skilled. Stomping and humiliating a smaller team is a bad look and imagine what the women's team will look like in their home country. Embarrassment, a waste of time, if they get any money maybe they shouldn't. Great job.

The World Cup has a 'Golden Boot' award for the player who scores the most goals at the tournament, and from looking at the results it looks like a USA player got 5 goals against Thailand which will greatly increase her chance of winning it. Presumably the award has a financial benefit for at least the player who wins it, and possibly the team.

On topic regarding Wu, they have no desire to win with class or dignity. That’s a good point. To do otherwise is to attach no consequences, meaning it’ll happen again. Forgiveness should also be attached to changes that prevent this from happening again. It's spreading. We've had gender-nonsense courses in Scandinavia before and there was actually a path to employment* as long as the number of people pursuing it was small and it used to be pretty small, only serious fundies went down that road.

Now there's suddenly so many people that studies gender-nonsene and having drunk the kool-aid they believe fame and fortune or at least employment awaits. Tuition is free here but they will still have $40k in student debt. Having met a couple of people taking these courses or thinking about taking them I always ask 'what kind of position will this lead to and what kind of work do you expect yourself to be doing'? How will you sell your skill set to a potential employer during an interview?
The answers are always very wishy-washy, "we need", "it is important that", "companies would benefit from" and the much more lucid and reasonable "I think that..." where some start thinking and at least tries to imagine what kind of job they will do.

tl;dr don't go into debt for an education that only qualifies you for imaginary jobs.
