How would he know how much it was going to cost unless he got the repairs assessed first? And if it's 2 minutes with a voltmeter and a 140$ relay it wouldn't cost you 1800$... maybe double list price and usual two hour min diagnostics charge still doesnt put you in the same ballpark. It's still just unclipping an old relay and clipping in a new one like a hard drive.I believe Frank said a similar thing after he dropped you off at that Nicaraguan "surgeon".

He probably paid for diagnosis and took credit for it and went to an aftermarket part supplier that was cheaper. Or more likely just bought it from the dealership itself in true wu form for full price and clipped it in himself after verifying with his voltmeter in 2 minutes exactly what electrical problem he had with his reliable Porsche (if you can diagnose electrical problems in cars with a voltmeter in 2 minutes you're an autistic savant or lying) and wouldnt you use a code reader first? If any relay is down especially in such an expensive car you can get the code?
Never mind. I figured it out. He took it to the shop, got the code read, bought the part, took it home and used a voltmeter to confirm "yeah there's no volts here" and then unplugged the old one and snapped the new one in like plugging in a new video card and went straight to Twitter.
