I genuinely wonder what a "conservative" Star Wars would look like. Would it be essentially the same but framed as rebels bad, or would there actually be a difference? I know john doesn't realize that people can be conservative with some beliefs and liberal with others, but I really want to know what a "conservative" star wars is past the poor examples he gave.

Just change the empire from being nazi stand ins and make them the British empire in space, and make the rebels driven more by individualist freedom fighters instead of generic good guys.
Best of all this gives plenty of reasons for characters to sit around discussing the taxation of trade routes.

I think my favorite video-game related Johnny anecdote was the time he bloasted to have been playing DDR out in public, and he was just so darn good that people gathered around to watch him play. I just bet they did, the Mississippi Baffle lurching spasmodically from leg to leg, flailing its arms awkwardly while hissing and gurning, as an unkempt asian man in cargo shorts and moonboots looked on approvingly. That would definitely draw a crowd.

This gave me the mental image of Briana and Frank having a public ddr face off, with Briana lurching around hitting all the notes while frank is on the other pad doing a head spin while doing his classic screaming face, floating around hitting notes.
