Youtube has been doing this a lot. Im sure they cut a good deal with stars to get them trending and get more fame in return for them getting lower or almost no cash from ads on their videos. Will Smith has made $200 million the last 20 years why would he need the money from his videos, he would only be paid as much as angry joe anyway. The boost in q score helps him more anyway.

Like ive been saying, the people greenlighting shit looks at your social media value and uses it to determine what roles you get cast in and pay as well.
