🐱 Brie Larson Rumored To Play A Jedi More Powerful Than Vader In New Star Wars Show

CatParty

At this stage, nobody’s going to be surprised if Brie Larson shows up in a future Star Wars movie or TV series. After all, the actress has hardly been shy when it comes to admitting her lifelong love of the franchise, and she even unsuccessfully auditioned for The Force Awakens before she was an Academy Award winner and star of a billion-dollar comic book blockbuster.

The 31 year-old has already been linked with a multitude of projects including the mystery film in the works from her Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige, while there’s also near-constant talk that she’s high on Disney’s list of candidates when it comes to casting the next major female lead for a galaxy far, far away.

So far, nothing has been confirmed just yet, but a recent rumor has claimed that the Captain Marvelstar will play a Jedi named Maeve in a Star Warsseries set in a brand new timeline that would see her character established as being more powerful than Darth Vader and Rey combined. The plot will reportedly focus on her tracking down a mysterious MacGuffin that controls the very essence of the Force, while there are naturally bad guys hot on her tail.

Of course, we should mention that the story comes from Mike Zeroh, who has a reputation for doling out very hit-or-miss information regarding Star Wars, to the extent that he was openly mocked on social media by Rian Johnson, with The Last Jedi director revealing that the crew used his name as a verb for something that was wide of the mark, specifically comparing him to trash. Ouch.

We certainly advise taking this with a grain of salt, then, but Zeroh has gotten a couple of scoops right in the past and the more we hear about Brie Larson’s affinity for Star Wars, the more it feels like she’s destined to play a role in the beloved sci-fi universe one day in the not too distant future.

He was right to sell it. He was wrong to sell it to Disney.
No, in a schaudenfreude "You think I'm bad? Just wait till you see Disney"

He really got his revenge there, and the star wars community, as much as there were good seeds, really did push him to it.

I'll miss the old EU, but when I do remember how viceral people treated him in the 2000s, or even worse, Jar Jar's actor or Young Anakin, I do think him deciding to cast aside the franchise to Disney was exactly what the fans deserved not for bitching, but the sheer autism and way they bitched about really minor stuff. In hindsight, the midochloreans aren't jack compared to what Disney has done.

Read somewhere he did get bullied afterwards
I read the same thing at least third hand. But people saying i did lots and lots of drugs due to getting raped as a child actor in Hollywood or due to lack of character is non-existent in the MSM. People might say it but they sure don't report it. It's easier to blame bullying. But it is plausible that he got a lot of shit from other kids. Poor fuck

I'm sure George Lucas sold Lucasfilm because he was sick of dealing with everything involved with it, but he didn't sell to Disney as some "fuck you" since he's gone on record bitching about what the "white slavers" did to his franchise.

Looks like The Mandalorian is the best thing we're gonna get out of the mouse for quite some time.
And now you got people thinking it'll be tanked because Kathleen Kennedy's ego can't take it and the Lucasfilm Story Group's High Republic must be pushed...if you believe the civil war narrative.

I'm not sure it is a civil war, at the very least its over dramatised.

It can be just KK's woketologists and the regular Hollyjew crowd having a disagreement since the latter is more interested in shekels. That or maybe a professional rivalry, one upping the other side to get more grants and projects and thus pay.

The other side isn't doing it for the fans, they just want to keep making money. This is not an epic crusade to save the great and famed STAR WARS!!!one! but to keep the cash cow milking instead of shooting it for woke points.

I applaud Brie Larson and her never-ending crusade to give the female identifying masses the heroine they want with a proper HERstory and appropriate powers.

Why SHOULD she have character building? That's patriarchy that insists a woman must be interesting as a person. Women should be lauded and considered special for existing! Why should she be shown struggling to learn how to control her powers? That's white supremacy and the Puritan work ethic covering the deep stain of misogyny, everyone knows that women are BORN knowing how to do things. Why should they have to earn their powers? Men don't. Men just wake up and are in charge of the world, should Brie Larson's character have the power and confidence of every mediocre white man? Of course she should. Should she be more powerful than anyone else? Well of course, her character is not blackened with the sin of internalized misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, or bigotry. She is pure and born without the sin of toxic masculinity.

Brie Larson is PERFECT to cast as this character.

A vapid, shallow, narcassist who leeches off of other people's talents and work to proclaim themselves a victim while wielding power and destroying everything she touches while her cultists tell you that she deserves everything without responsibilty or personal accountability.

What is it with "strong women protagonists" being male power fantasies? "Oh yeah, my new female Jedi could kick Vader's ass with one hand tied behind her back."
Confirmation that these feminists just want to be men. Or rather the idea of what they think a man is.

The winning play is to not become obsessive over a piece of fiction/media in general.

I find it absolutely baffling when I tell someone to just "ignore Disney star wars if you hate it so much" and they reply "but it's part of canon" as if that means anything.

There is still a group that doesn't really mind canon because more side stories only mean more content to enjoy and that translates into more toys to buy and collect. They aren't the obsessed type of fan either, they're normal people who are into a hobby. I know of a few who collect every single item they can find, even bootlegs for the lolz, and they are very functional people IRL.

I think these are the types Star Wars should try to appeal now. Make individual side stories for people who would buy the toys and move on. Their insistence on continuing the original trilogy is what's destroying the franchise.

as many as it takes to fill the void in her soul left by the absence of her father's love and approval

It has been since George sold it and honestly, I dont blame him given the amount of manipulation from Bob Iger and the constant bullying from both fans and media alike mocking his prequels and saying he destroyed their childhoods...ironically those seem to be the ones defending Disney's Star Wars tooth and nail. I wonder if its because of pure ignorance or maybe they dont want to admit deep down that they were spoiled with George and are much worse off with Disney. Pride is one hell of a drug.

Just like I said above that some people aren't obsessed about canon like other hardcore fans, there are others who absolute hate it, but for different reasons. One thing is to say "oh, I like this alt take where Luke and Leia aren't siblings and Solo is jealous of Luke... I wonder if he would betray him to the Siths out of spite... this isn't canon, but I'd read it bc I'm interested", and another one "ACSHUALLY, the original is so wrong because Leia was portrayd as a slave and Lando is pansexual anyway so he probably should hook up with Solo and Leia should not be Luke's sister and they should be a boring hetero couple, lmao Disney, fix this shit".

And we all know what's like when SJWs fix art:

Yeah, except the Fandom Menace sees it as "Favreau and Filoni vs KK and Lucasfilm and the woke", and some even see Carano as kneecapping The Mandalorian which Kennedy doesn't have a hand in. And then there's the "Ashoka Lives? Ashoka Lives!" thing to keep roads from leading to Jake Skywalker.

Honestly, I never saw what was so awful about that line. Sand is rough and coarse and irritating.

Its just the awkward way it was delivered but the intention was to show Anakin was a teenager with NO dating experience but he was trying his best, tho it came off as cringy.
It did serve a point to developt his character, thats more I can say of most from the sequel trilogy

As someone who's had to clean sand out of firearms, to say I personally don't like sand is an understatement. Its coarse, its rough, and it gets fucking everywhere. Can you imagine trying to keep a podracer or a droid running in the middle of a fucking desert? Somehow that shit would make its way inside Vader's suit if he stepped foot on Tatooine in ANH, and his suit is a full environmental seal. If you think Vader has issues with temper and poor impulse control, you haven't seen a Vader that's got sand wedged in his asscrack.

It's not even a male power fantasy, really. It's far too primitive. An adult male's power fantasy is to be someone like James Bond, a man's man who uses a combination of his wits, physical strength and charisma to outmatch his rivals when he's not busy banging supermodels.

This "I am several levels stronker than you and am gonna beat you up!" shit is a child's power fantasy. It's something a six-year-old boy who watched too much Dragonball Z would like to imagine himself to be. It's genuinely embarassing to witness grown-ass men and women behave the same way.
