The council keeps trying to put on stuff like food fairs or they have a live Shakespeare show in the middle of the town and the audience watched from a bus. Blackpool wishes it was Brighton but its too far away from a major city for any thing like that to happen. The Rebellion punk festival is becoming its own little thing now through attracting the hipster types to the town proper.

There is a tiny enclave called Westcliff that has pubs that serve tapas, but it's not infected the seafront yet.

My nan always said Sheringham was best.

Then again, she grew up there while the Mods and the Rockers were kicking the shit out of each other, so I sense a bit of bias.
 
Since dangerhairs love to congregate together I think we should build them a colony and ship them all off. One big safe space where they never have to bother us again.

They tried to gentrify my old neighborhood in the 90s. That lasted maybe a month. Someone vandalized an art gallery. And right across the street there had been a horrible robbery at a menswear shop that had been there for decades. One of the brothers who owned the place was killed. The crime was so high that the hipsters were scared to death and didn't make any more attempts.

Rich trust fund babies love diversity. As long as it's not trying to murder them for their fair trade vegan pleather man purses. They want the quaintness of a ghetto full of poor people without all of the trappings that come with it. Like crime. And poors touching them.

Brighton looks like an SJW paradise. It's a shame that they are encouraging kids to be trans. Thus it becomes a safe space for crazy parents who want their precious trans toddler to feel comfortable at xir nursery school.
 
I've heard Brighton is amazing from people at my university but a lot of them are woke so no surprises there. It's by somewhere really pretty but horrendously woke AF.

Was expecting this thread to be about Brighton in Monroe County, not a place in Britbongland.
 
You'll find anywhere with a large student population is pretty woke: Bristol, Liverpool, Newcastle, Manchester; but yeah, Brighton is probably top of that list. I haven't been in a few years but I mostly have fond memories, it's nicer than London at least. Most of the fag shit is in Kemptown, it's easy enough to avoid.
 
Britbong here, when I go to Brighton I avoid Kemptown with a passion and just hang out in the town centre and seafront.
 
Most of the Sussex Coastal towns are nice, and the scenery in the rural areas is really lovely. With regards to Brighton, I only want to visit the Sealife Centre and Prison Museum when they're open again.
