Brote is definitely among the most banned people on the internet. I don't even know how many times he's had to restart his twitch, kick, and twitter accounts.
He doesn't even do anything that's truly outrageous, people in charge of the internet just dislike him.
I'm gonna get deep into the autistic cut here, but IMO. I think the fact at the end of the day they couldn't stand brote's existence not because of dicey language or wrongthink but because he was well and truly unbothered and laughing at people just to laugh, and motherfuckers hate that more than the typical indignant laughter people use to hide their own seething.
All he ""supported"" ultimately was just enjoying his time laughing at the retarded and being irreverent to how things were going while drinking and playing videogames with a gaggle of other people while not actually grifting a product or ideology, and his persona and bearing making him utterly unprofitable in the cannibalistic attention economy the internet was turning into. On top of being worthless to them as a springboard for other youtube drama sloppers to make dimes and clicks with.
Because if you make a 3 hour video about him being heckin' problematic or a visionary telling it like it is odds are his response to either would be to casually mention their name half mispronounced,
"This fucking guy made this.... whole fucking thing." before belting out a minute long wheeze laugh and going
"Holy fuck" as he caught his breath and moving swiftly on to talking about ottawa sluts, army dads and day drinking.
Because it doesn't make the system money - It shows that the whole user created content system as it stands is fake gay and astroturfed if you can disarm it and starve it by simply saying
"Okay dude" and laughing about it to big players and never engaging them further.
