Correct me if I am wrong but I think he gets paid at the start of the month and Bronycon is Thursday 1st Aug - Sunday 4th Aug, so unless he gets paid on the 1st and the money clears in time, its going to be a pretty tight squeeze.

The sad thing is that an autist like Chris is just another drop of rain in the Brony community. The Hasbro lady probably has seen worse.

I think most people forget that the "New Brony" fandom is 9 years old, and mostly originated on 4chan, and Bronycon is pretty much a 4chan meetup on a grand scale with most in attendence being from /mlp/, but you get passerbys from /co/ /tv/ /b/ /vp/ etc. [also starring Reddit and Tumblr from Devil May Cry]
So the answer is "The Majority: Absolutely."

Their opinion depends on "How new are you" are they.
The ancientfags remember him from ED days and do not overly care.
The oldfags remember him from /b/ and /v/, and are most likely to protect or harass (Null and Friends goes here)
The newfags remember him from Cwciki, Kiwifarms pre 2017, /mlp/ /co/ and are starting to highly dislike him, especially as he continues to sour by being his actual self.
The nufags remember him from Youtube, post 2017 Kiwifarms/Cwciki, Reddit, Tumblr, Twitter, Discord. They like him because they are semen drinking faggot babies. (Most modern wieners/knights)
The zoomers only know him as legend and myth; these are the new generation of posters who are either super based telling old/ancient fucks to fuck off to our boomer 90's and pogs or they are the soy drinking Disney cucks who eat Tide Pods for fun.

The convention is always a happy mix of all generations, but rest assured. People know him, and most do for the reasons you'd expect.

As per pictures; depends. No one wants to get doxxed after all, and there's always the fear from the newer generations that the older generation will say "YOU TAKE PICTURE OF CHRIS? FUCK YOU, HERE'S YOUR ADDRESS ON TWITTER AND 4CHAN!" The other reason is that with most conventions, there is a silent policy. "Don't overdue it with videos/photos" because you'll either A: Be labeled as a creep. B: Have your shit confiscated C: Get the ever living shit kicked out of you. Unsoliticited photos/videos is usually not welcome at most conventions, overdoing it usually raises alarms that results in one of the three options above. There will be photos and videos if he does attend; however don't expect it to be some weird sort of stalker's perspective biopic. Most people don't have the nerve to do so, especially with Big Brother 4chan and Kiwi obviously looming over and in attendance.

4chan has a MLP board and they do take pictures of Chris. Last convention they had a thread on him and all so I doubt it's gonna be THAT strict.
If anything there will be a boat load of people streaming, recording, taking pictures and the convention itself streams some events so there WILL be sightings of Chris whether he wants it or not.
 
If we want Chris Chan footage on Bronycon, make it a reality show style of recording (three cameras on ground and at least one drone for bird's eye view.
And it should be live.

If he is there, then yeah. You'll get selfies, fanshots, walkbys, etc.
These are typical convention pictures, but not everyone has the nerve for this so expect more "Walkbys and distanced Fanshots."
After all, if someone takes a selfie with Chris and it goes online, you know that the person, innocent or not, is going to be wacked here, on 4chan, and elsewhere for being in a picture with Chris. Especially if its someone trying to get "Internet Famous" by hanging out with "LEGENDARY CHRIS CHAN."

He just stumbles through life hoping things work out for him. And whether due to dumb luck or the autism-card, a lot of things do work out. Not the big things, of course, but the stupid little things like this. And given how much autism swirls around a convention like that I imagine he'll find a way to get there. It's like a gravity well of spedness.

I bet Chris still wants to ‘Make Things right’ with the female brony artists half his age who’ve blocked him on Twitter but he continues to follow.
 
Given how quickly he changed his tune in those tweets, some węęn will try and use this situation as an "in" for sure.

Of course it's not gonna go anywhere for them because once Chris has the money he will just spend it on more toys and then beg for more.
