Would you still recommend this over proton or nord vpn 10 years later? I've been looking for a good VPN but most articles I can find on the Internet comparing VPNs are clear shills, I'd trust your advice on opsec more than any of them.

I have pia and have used it for years (not on mobile, though). I'm also in the US.

Might get some occasional website issues that you can usually resolve by disconnecting and reconnecting or switching to a different country.

No problems with porn websites and lived in places where they wanted to require ID.

Speed has been sufficient; I don't watch Netflix or use Steam, but PIA has stream-optimized feeds if you do.

The price is charged annually, but comes in below competitors on a per-month basis.

Disclosure: I haven't shopped around for another VPN in a while, but have heard decent stuff about Mullvad VPN, too. Might be another option to consider.

Pia was bought by Cyberghost. I use mullvad.
