The only one I know that matches part of your description is the Broken Arrow Killings. 5 people, ranging from 5 to 52 years old, killed by 2 brothers as part of a plot to commit a cross country killing spree. The two planned on storing the corpses in storage bins and the house where it took place in was burnt down but that's where the similarities ends. Without any names, dates, or locations, it's difficult to figure out what exactly are you talking about.
