I don't know how trooning out became a midlife crisis but i think you can link it to depression and insecurities in how they look. You have everything you should need to be happy. Good Job, a house, wife, kids everything's going good but you are still unhappy. You look around trying to find answers and you see all these people saying "i was so unhappy then i became a tranny now everything's great" Then you think about it you question are you trans is that why you are unhappy? The saddest thing about depressed people looking for a way to be happy again is I've seen lots of friends basically jump to try anything that they think will work.

Now the insecurities with how they look might be a bigger factor. Most men never get complimented on their physical appearance. If you troon out suddenly your being told "you're beautiful" constantly by all the trannies and supporters online who have to blow smoke up your ass. To go from receiving no compliments your entire adult life to constantly being reinforced as you're beautiful and perfect is a hell of a drug that can make you feel good.

Just some observations. Back in 2011 i think was the last proper scientific experiment on anti depressants being used on people who thought they were the wrong gender. What that found was that when treated with the right dosages to handle their depression those feelings vanished and they were happy with their gender. We need a modern version of this but anywhere that tries to do it is going to be cancelled.
