I think it might have been Suddenly Fem, which is now En Femme, but that's from poking around image searches for catalog covers. I went to their webpage and some of it looked familiar, maybe.

The thing that struck me, though, is that crossdressers put (used to put) a bit of effort in. They buy dresses tailored to flatter male bodies, wigs and beard cover, and read books about how to wear makeup and how to change your voice patterns.
