So I wasn't crazy for thinking it was a troll. But how can this guy who pretends to be so wholesome trick his naive audience like this? They were so worried they begged him to let them donate or they even offered him a place to stay. What is he trying to accomplish? Because I don't think his viewers will appreciate this.

I don't mean some throwaway comment he might've said to mess with people while trolling, I mean confirmation he informed Warner Bros legal.

I did a bit of digging (lol) and I'm now pretty confident this bit is somehow related to geocaching. He posted a video 3 months ago where at 0:12 he's got a photo of an 'archived' geocache location. If you compare the footage in his recent schizo-post, it looks remarkably similar to the tree contained within the geocaching video from 3 months ago, and even the shrub on the left of the tree looks roughly the same. Digging is also a very geocache-esque activity, so I think we've cracked it kiwibros.

Bub games used to be funny but his seething over edgy shit got annoying and I stopped watching when he started paying money for servers to troll since it just screamed desperate to me and didn't sit well even if he likely chargebacked some of it

I don't know if that's necessarily the chain of events. There's always been a lot of controversy concerning the 1942 RP servers. I think they've been on Garry's radar for quite awhile and nothing BubGames has done has swung the pendulum one way or another. Besides, they're still around, just rebranded as Imperial RP and set in early 20th century Germany I believe.

If this isn't some homosexual elaborate trolling, I half expect Bub GAY-mes to hop in VRChat to troll freaks and furries, much like RatGraves, Glass and other tryhards do. These two pulled the same type of shit as he did "trolling racists on GMOD" and are now trying to pull as people trying to fix VRChat, or at least Glass is. Hopefully Glass changed his mind into a better type of trolling, one to take care of the vulnerable and be more concerned with issues of the kind as opposed to pull unfunny style of videos. Yet the timing is... odd.

This guy is pretty funny, though I mainly watch his Rust videos now. It's nice how he seems to enjoy creating things for people to enjoy and has some original ideas and things. He isn't very 'tryhard', which is nice, and is also not afraid to put his ideas into action.

I can't bring myself to watch the videos in which I know he is going to go off on some oversensitive tirade about how messed up it is to LARP as 'the baddies' or to say the mean genocidal words. However, I've noticed he follows a very un-PC person on Twitter, though the particular guy is quite memey and I doubt he realises.

I found some interesting information in two Reddit threads about him and Pyrocynical but I have no idea what it really consists of. It seems he pissed off some BPD girl who tried to flirt with him in person after some PAX meetup (post where the top comment mentions the drama | archive) and she is now fixated on him and tried to post about it as if she were an observer in some 'youtubedrama' subreddit (her post | archive). Who knows what is going on there; with the types of communities these YouTubers build up, the people responding likely coordinated with the YouTubers in question beforehand to formulate a response. Some podcast with Pyrocynical as a host about the ordeal was referenced by the comment, but it doesn't appear like her username is in any of the video titles on their YouTube account and I am not in any of these noxious podcaster Discord servers. Clearly, this woman would dispute Null's assertion that Bub Games is a homosexual, but BPD heauxs are rarely—if ever—useful sources. Apparently she touched him up a bit whilst they were drunk (just how much is not exactly forthcoming, since the only person to reference it is the woman in question who obviously splits the entire thing into accusations of rape and a 'simple leg touch').

I think it is part of his general trolling, honestly. I don't know how deep it went because I wasn't really paying attention, but he seems to want to do outdoor 'content' more too (since he seems to enjoy being outdoors I guess) and to popularise his non-gaming 'Bub Films' channel a bit more. His 'Shrek Mukbang' video was also interspersed with found-footage type horror stuff, albeit much more obviously a meme. It also seemed like a way for Pyrocynical to generate him some more viewership since they seem to be friends and he made a couple of videos about it I think (didn't watch them though, so I don't know if his concern seems genuine).
