Building a PC vs. buying one

Some of the components and "cable management" on pre builds is shocking. Pre builts are basically slapped together in the fastest way possible with the cheapest ass components on shit you don't want to skimp on (like generic NVMe hard drives and power supplies) and god forbid if anything ever fails you're gonna be dragging knuckles for a good 15 minutes just to pry up enough wires to get some components out.

Build your own. The worst thing that happens is it doesn't work and you have to return something or you take it to a local shop. With a pre built you don't get any knowledge of what to do if something breaks and you get a computer that is more prone to breaking. Bad combo.

and you can pretty much get windows 11 for free, they care so little about selling it that there are numerous legal ways of getting it (they make money from ads now and locking you in).
This. You can download the ISO from their official website for free. If the watermark on the desktop is too intrusive just look at used laptops on ebay, sometimes people forget to hide their Windows 7 or 10 key when they take a picture.

Winaero is a fantastic little company... you can actually just grab their watermark remover here: https://winaero.com/download-universal-watermark-disabler/ and not even bother with that :))
Everyone should be running winaero tweaker on 10 and 11 to remove advertising, spying, and fix some of the dumber stuff that Microsoft has broken or forgotten to fix. (dumbass right click context menus in 11 come to mind). https://winaero.com/winaero-tweaker/

Some BYO come with their warranty. If you ever want to upgrade your shitty PC, you void the warranty. Shitty PSU breaks cause they use the cheapest one? Retard store clerks will take 3 weeks to 'fix'; they will just send it back to the manufacturer and get you a brand new computer. Won't even let you extract the HDD. Why do people put up with this shit?

They also come with the shitty add ridden Win12.
