On the one hand I'm pissed that a lone mongoloid with a twitter account has this much power. On the other hand I'm amused that Burger King pissed away a bunch of advertising dollars kowtowing to them. Actually that gives me an idea; see how far you can push these major transnational corporations in the current year by organizing fake outrage over benign shit.

P.S. Felt the need to clarify after receiving a horrifying rating: I meant mongoloid as an olde tyme term for retаrd. I wasn't trying to bring attention to the fact that he was a zipperhead.

Oh No!!

It was a joke...
When everything else in your post looks like you're being super serious about something nobody should care about, most people would safely assume that you're serious about that too. Poe's Law doesn't help either.

This is not the first time when quite literally a single message/tweet made a company backtrack on something. Take Blizzard and the whole Tracer pose shithow that happened not too long ago. After a single message on the forums it was removed and Blizzard started apologizing, even though there was nothing explicit about it. I'm pretty sure I saw theories that it was a publicity stunt, so people could make articles about the outrage, with the message being faked by one of the employees.

It really just blows my mind that at the right moment if the right eyes see a tweet it can result in such a knee jerk reaction. everyone is so scared of being perceived as insensitive they scrap the entire commercial. just wonder where the line is because it seems to jump around an awful lot.

the line will continue to dance left and right until mega-corporations (Amazon) kill the diverse advertising model and begin controlling the production and distribution of all goods. offended by one of the hourly Alexa ads that play mandatory inside your own home? don't receive your weekly allotted Amazon meal ration.

White people aren't allowed to use chopsticks because that's cultural appropriation of Asian people.

They also aren't allowed to use their dirty, unwashed hands to eat because that's cultural appropriation of Ethiopian people.
If that's the case then non whites aren't allowed to use anything invented after the industrial revolution.
